Property was as described, clean, and exactly what we needed. Review would have been five star, however there was no dish soap, sponge or laundry soap provided - it would have been helpful to know this beforehand. It would also be helpful to have more than one extra trash bag provided and may want to consider upgrading the pots/pans. Additionally, the WiFi was not great and although this may not be an issue for some it did present an inconvenience for us as we did need to complete some work related tasks while there. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and would choose this property again.

Pretty Good

The main reason we stayed here was the private pool. It was nice to have, but wasn’t cleaned so I had to clean it before we used it and could only get it so clean with a skimmer no vacuum. Mostly sand in the bottom I assume from previous guest, a couple tiny dead crabs, and some hair, twigs, and leaves. It’s an older house, but was as clean as it could be and most importantly smelled clean. Older furniture and appliances, but I think that was clear from listing photos. Overall it was pretty good. For the price we wouldn’t stay there again. It’s already expensive. Spend a little more and get an updated place.

Quick getaway

Cute house and firnishings. Small bedrooms and bathroom. Beds not long enough for my husband. Love the pool and fenced in yard.

Great stay

Overall we enjoyed the stay. There are some issues that need to be fixed as others have said in their reviews. Since they haven’t been fixed yet, I am not sure they will get fixed. The light in the bathroom downstairs does not work. The dryer is REALLY loud. If you plan on using the dryer don’t plan on watching tv or having a conversation while the dryer is running. The bar stools are wobbly. The front door doesn’t latch properly so you have to put some pressure on it to shut it. I did enjoy my stay but these are a few things that could be fixed to make this house so much better.

Great location and service, property needs maintenance

We had a great stay with our family and dog. The property was clean and in a central location in Port Aransas, just a stone's throw from the grocery store and other restaurants, stores, etc. We enjoyed the pool, the outside grill, and the kitchen area, and we appreciated the televisions when it rained! When we arrived, none of the exterior lights worked, which prevented us from using the space at night, and it was a security concern taking the dog out at night. The gate to the backyard did not close properly, so we had to devise a way to close it to ensure the dog stayed in the yard. The customer service and property manager were attentive to addressing the issues, but we had to spend the first three nights without these issues being addressed since it was the weekend. We were present when the property manager and electrician came to address the lights. They also decided it would be a good time to have a plumber out to find a possible leak causing the water bill to be too high. They fixed a few exterior lights under the carport and the gate. The pool company never came to fix the pool lights, so night swimming was not an option for us. I would love to stay here again, but I would want everything to be in working order and not have to alert the property manager or homeowner to fix things.

Great Island Stay!

The house was exactly as described! My kids loved the pool. The house was comfortable and clean. The outdoor bathroom was a nice touch. There was a storm and the power went out and I was able to immediately contact the property management about this. The power went back on and I was I touch with the property management the whole time! Would stay again!

The property owner was very communicative. The property was also quite clean. We would love to stay here again in the future. Admittedly the house internally appeared a bit dated, and the trim of the door inside/outside (main entrance of the house) was very scuffed up, but the door locked well and that is what matters. The toilet lid was cracked upon arrival > I notified the owner right away > they responded.

Great house.

It is a shame that this house is managed by Vacasa. They do not honor veteran or military discounts. Altogether the house is lovely however, the customer service and nightly rates could have been much better.

It was nice overall, things to consider if it’s not summer there is not an additional bathroom downstairs :/ i mean con on…… the BBQ has seen better days and needs some new parts or to be replaced. The kitchen living room is a lot bigger than the pictures give them credit. We would stay again.

Nice place in a good location

Beach rental

Nice comfortable stay . Unfortunately the pool isn't heated like it stated on listing. But you could purchase for $50 a day extra to heat the pool. That was inconvenient and a little upsetting. But the property was fine .
