Lovely, quiet spot

We loved the location of this lovely home. It was quiet & nice to see the golfers on the course every day. The kitchen was well equipped (ice dispenser in fridge didn’t work though, you’ll need to bring ice). Nicely decorated, extremely comfortable couch with room for the whole family!

Exceptional floor plan and well appointed beach home. We’ve stayed at Palmilla for multiple summers and we will definitely be requesting to book this cottage again. Loved birdwatching off the balcony which overlooked the golf course and bird sanctuary. Beautiful family room and kitchen that made visiting easy. Only positive things to report.

Beautiful home on golf course

We really enjoyed this house, it was probably my fave and we've stayed at several homes in Palmilla! The house had a great view of the golf course and sunsets. The living/kitchen area is huge with two balconies and the kitchen was well stocked. The only downside was the mosquitos! They were really bad this year and worse after they groomed the golf course right next to us.

Golf Course View

We’ve stayed at Palmilla a few times, but never in the same house. The Fireside Cottage was a beautiful 3-bedroom home that was clean, nicely decorated and had an unobstructed view of the golf course. It had parking for 2 cars and our golf cart which was nice. All 3 bedrooms were on the first floor with the kitchen and living room on the second floor. I prefer the master bedroom to be on a separate floor from the other bedrooms which was the only downfall for me for this home which was no fault of the rental. Another home in Palmilla that I can recommend for anyone looking for a beach getaway!

Nice property but room for improvement

We loved the lay out of the property and the clean pools. The beach set up employees were very helpful. The house was clean and nice, but the attention to detail was lacking - we had several issues during our stay. Hopefully, it isn't always a problem there, but mosquitoes were absolutely horrible. Bring insect repellant! We hope our issues can be resolved because we would love to give Palmilla Resort a second chance.

Wonderful House

Beautifully decorated and very clean. Bedrooms and laundry are downstairs, with living and kitchen upstairs (prepare your calves!). The master bed was SO comfortable, I wish I had looked to see what brand it is. Each of the 3 bedrooms has an en suite bathroom. Kitchen has everything you need, including a few kids utensils and plates. It was really nice that they have a pack n play so we didn’t have to bring ours. They also have a blow dryer in the master so no need to bring your own. Plenty of soap/shampoo/conditioner provided for your entire stay. The downstairs took a while to get cool the first night, but once it was cool it remained that way. Highly recommend this property!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The setup of rooms was great for families. They had a pack n play for my 10 month old which was nice. They also had a high chair but didn’t have it listed on the description so I wouldn’t have brought my travel one if I’d known. The queen bed in the 2nd room wasn’t the most comfortable but we brought our own pillows so that made it better. It was nice that our room had its own door to the outside so made it convenient bringing things in. Proximity to the pool and beach was really convenient and also all the restaurants. We will definitely stay here again!

Great View and Beach House, but Needs TLC For Sure

Overall, the location, view and house itself were very nice. However, at the prices that we pay in Palmilla Beach, this house is sorely in need of some TLC. Batteries in TV remotes and Family Room Ceiling Fan remote were out. Pots and pan were terribly dirty, and in fact, one of the cookie sheets was coated in grease and left in the cabinet! Could find no access to the Breaker Box, but the Kitchen Island power receptacles, all outdoors power receptacles and the Kitchen Island overhead light were all not working, despite attempts to reset all GFIs as well??? The view from the West Balcony was great, but there was so much bird poop on the chairs and railing we never got to enjoy it. Perhaps an Owl Decoy or some other measure would inhibit the pigeons and doves from roosting and doing their thing. The Toilet in the Upstairs Half Bath hangs and runs. Kitchen Utensils were sparse and the wooden spatula with rubber end kept coming apart. Floors felt sandy and gritty and inside door rugs were dirty as well. All this place needs is a little attention to make it first class for sure!

Another wonderful visit!

This is our second visit to Palmilla, this time we brought our kids and my mother. The house was absolutely perfect for our group. The kids loved the bunk room. The house had everything our group needed, was clean and the location and view of the golf course was fantastic. Easy walk to the pool from here and a short ride to the dune crossover. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great 2-story home, wonderful layout and amenities inside. Very cool shared courtyard with a gas fire pit. Fantastic spot for families. Just a couple of speed bumps:1. The keypad front door lock didn’t work, even when turnkey came to replace its batteries. Hopefully that is fixed by now. 2. One of the second-story patio rocking chairs was rotten and collapsed while one of our party was sitting in it (not an overweight person). The person wasn’t hurt, just more surprised than anything. Great spot, but for the price paid, the front door keypad lock should be functional and there shouldn’t be rotten wooden rocking chairs.
