Buyer Beware - It isn’t what you think.
Safety Concerns and Poor Customer Service - WHL-20 “Clear View”Rented this 8-bedroom property for a week-long family reunion with 14 people traveling from as far as Hawaii. Unfortunately, our 6,500 vacation was marred by multiple safety issues and unprofessional management response.Safety Issues:•Multiple protruding nails throughout deck surfaces caused injuries to family members•Pool gate spring mechanism was dangerously aggressive•Outdoor bathroom in unsanitary condition•Pest issues (roaches) upon arrivalUndisclosed Problems:•Active construction on both sides of property creating noise/disruption throughout stay•No advance notice of construction despite booking months earlierManagement Response:When we documented these issues, the company president’s response was dismissive, claiming guests should have called about safety hazards during vacation time rather than expecting safe conditions upon arrival. He confirmed their technician found “8 nails that had to be addressed” after our departure, validating our safety concerns.The president characterized our documented complaints as “extortion tactics” and refused any accommodation despite clear safety violations.Bottom Line: For families paying premium prices, basic safety and transparency should be guaranteed. Choose a management company that prioritizes guest safety over deflecting responsibility.
