We booked a veranda room. The staff was very polite and nice.
The room was extremely outdated with stained carpet, dusty chairs, and a light that sometimes worked in the bathroom. It was very loud due to being on the "veranda" which really just meant it was on the walkway to the roof with all the air conditioner systems. The fridge had long hair in it and some leftover Miller Lites. The air conditioner in the room was very loud also. No curtains were provided in the room, only plantation blinds. We felt very exposed to people walking by as a result. The bed was soft which is probably good for some people.
We had to park on the road and carry our luggage to the hotel. The door did not have handicap access so holding the door open and dragging luggage in simultaneously was cumbersome. Also carrying the luggage up the stairs from the elevator to the veranda entrance was less than ideal.
I thought the hotel was no pet, no smoking, but there was an ash tray on the table right outside of our room on the "veranda", and the owner had his dog inside the hotel and outside at times. When it was inside, it growled at us which was disconcerting.
We would stay here again if needed, but it would not be our first choice.
