Not What I Expected…

Firstly, the ad was misleading, for a more clear description it should’ve read “New Listing! Private semi-renovated apt, located in security gated, old office building & up 2 flights of stairs.” I was disappointed in the quality of cleanliness but didn’t want to spoil my trip. Although Brian, Tea and Tish were helpful in checking in and getting me settled like providing trash bags, toilet tissue and iron…for the price, I expected more thoughtfulness of a vacation rental catering to guest(s) and not just someone’s unit that happens to be vacant. The carpets/floors were dirty, personal items left in the shower and on bathroom shelves, there is no closet access or places to hang clothes, no ironing board, some of the furniture is very dated, the blinds in the bedroom are broken, no curtains so the sun shines bright in both windows. The bed is some sort of firm memory foam type mattress, not the most comfortable sleep for me. The kitchenette has dishes, few silverware, a toaster oven, microwave and small refrigerator/freezer. There’s shops & restaurants, anywhere from 1-30 min walk, centerline car rental 10 min walk or contact VI Ubah (best taxi).
