This property was a basement apartment. It was very small and had a musty odor especially in the bathroom. The bedrooms were small as well and did not have adequate room to get in and out of the bed. The kitchen was fine but lacked some essentials like hand towels. There was a lot of things that needed attention (spackle on walls that had to be painted, switch plate covers not fitting properly, unsafe entry way from patio, front gate very difficult to open). Our last day the smoke alarm which was only in the laundry area started beeping. I notified the host and he told me where the batteries were instead of offering to come over and take care of it. The entry way from the patio was over stuffed with personal belongings with a path to the house/laundry area that was also overstuffed with personal belongings. I had to move things off the dryer in order to use it. The "sauna" was nothing but a bathroom with a jet tub bathtub and a moldy shower which also had musty odor. I was confused about it needing a code to use unless maybe other tenants also had access? We did not use. The apartment was clean but crowded. The front door could not open all the way because of a table in the entry way. The only pluses were the garage parking and location. Neighborhood was nice and safe and walking distance to Wrigley field (but it was a mile walk not 2 minutes as advertised). Train station fairly close as well. It was an expensive property to have this many issues. I would not recommend!
