Nuestra casa está literalmente construida en la cima de la montaña. La planta baja está 3/4 bajo tierra con una salida a un patio cubierto privado para cenar al aire libre.

Ven a conseguir acogedor por su chimenea de madera caliente! La suite principal cuenta con una gran chimenea de leña natural lista para las frías noches de invierno con su propia sala de estar privada, así como una enorme terraza privada que domina el vasto bosque. El maestro también está equipado con un televisor de pantalla plana y una bicicleta elíptica en el armario principal para entrenamientos interiores, y un mini refrigerador privado (solo para adultos).

Nuestra casa es muy privado y tranquilo, pero cerca de muchas atracciones de la zona. A solo 10 minutos en auto del sur de Smith Mountain Lake / Embarcadero Dam (Penhook Marina). Explora los 12 acres con los rastros existentes, corriente, árboles frutales, y la vida silvestre. La casa es una espaciosa casa privada de 6 dormitorios y 3 baños. Disfrute de una sala de estar en el piso de arriba y abajo, ambos con TV vía satélite y reproductores de Blue Ray / DVD. Casa más nueva (construida en 2005) con todas las comodidades y decoración modernas. La casa tiene capacidad para 8 a 12 personas cómodamente, incluyendo 3 colchones con la parte superior de la almohada tamaño Queen, 2 camas dobles y literas individuales. Nuestra familia ama nuestro lago cercano, pero es un paraíso privado para explorar y relajarse. En la sala de juegos hay una cama completa, así como una WII para juegos familiares, DVD.

Hay un montón de libros, juegos de mesa y naturaleza para mantener a toda la familia ocupada o pasar tiempo de calidad juntos.

Acceso para discapacitados
La casa es accesible para aquellos que requieren una silla de ruedas (solo la planta baja tiene acceso para sillas de ruedas, que incluye la cocina, tres dormitorios, una sala de estar y un baño grande para discapacitados). Hay un área de cochera a lo largo del lado izquierdo de la casa para facilitar el acceso a la casa.

Nuestra casa se encuentra a poca distancia del acceso al río Pigg, donde se puede atrapar la lubina pequeña, la mierda y la lubina. A sólo 14 millas al Hargrave Military Academy. A solo 5 millas de donde se filmó el show de "The Moonshiners", en el corazón del hermoso condado de Moonshiner en el campo rural de Pittsylvania.

Wedding Week

We had about 12 people stay together for my daughter’s wedding. The large master suite with balcony was perfect for all the girls to get ready. The balcony was perfect for pictures of the bridesmaids and the dad’s first look. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Liberty University Graduation Stay

As advertised this listing is a secluded property where kids and pets can play outside without worry. Our whole family (3 generations) fit comfortably and the little kids loved the jacuzzi while the adults played cards on the back porch. We would definitely recommend this if you prefer hanging out around a fire, barbecuing, and catching up with family. Thank you Michelle for the prompt replies and answering questions.

Fabulous

This house is so cute! Tons of little extras and Michelle and Lonnie checked on us after our first night to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Tons of seating for everyone to eat and hang out together wherever you want to gather. The first pit is in the perfect spot for the adults to enjoy hanging out and still be able to see the kids playing on the playset. And if you’re a sheet snob like I am, you won’t be disappointed. They were so soft. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a house close to the lake and reasonably priced.

Wonderful Holiday Get together

The house is beautiful and was large enough to get the family all under the same roof for a Christmas get together. Michelle was responsive to communications in a timely manner and she made us feel very welcome. She even set up a Christmas tree for us and left a delicious cake to share. I would definitely return for another stay.

Relaxing weekend getaway

Great house in a beautiful location! Outdoor amenities including hot tub and fire pit were incredible, and the second floor deck overlooking the woods was a perfect start to the day. Highlight recommend for those looking for a great retreat!

We were in the area doing some work so the location worked out nicely. We had some family that came on different days so it was nice to have the extra bedrooms and room to move around. Due to our long days we only got to use the hot tub once but it was very nice after a long day of work. Thank you for letting us use your home

Worked for our purposes

This house was sufficient for our purpose which was a place to gather as a family in order to spend a day or 2 at Smith Mt. Lake. There were nice touches to the house that showed the host really made an effort to make it nice. The sleeping arrangement was well suited to our group of 3 y.o.-adults. Plenty of space to spread out with 2 sitting areas.We were thankful that the house was pet friendly. However, there were a lot of little things overlooked. Things like a bathroom door that would not lock, some disorganized rooms/closets, dusty surfaces and fixtures, blue tape around a fixture left from an old paint job, laundry left in the dryer, a very weedy and messy yard and play area. These things would not have been a big deal in and of themselves but added up to being eyesores and inconveniences and made the house not as cozy and inviting as we had hoped. There were some water issues throughout our weekend that caused some problems. These were out of the host's control as the water pump had recently been replaced. She was very responsive to our texts and made it right for us and we were thankful for that. Overall, I give this 3 stars. It had a lot of potential and a few nice efforts but did not measure up to our expectations.

Wonderful stay!

The property was beautiful and while it looked small up pulling into the driveway, it was actually very large. It was easily big enough for everyone that came. My kids loved that there was a playground, and everyone enjoyed the seating outside. The owners are extremely helpful and responsive if anything happens to be wrong and everything inside of the house was ready for us and beautiful.

Family get-together

Michelle was very nice to work with during the entire process leasing up to our stay. She allowed us to put my entire family (20 people including babies and children) in her house. However, be aware that even though the website says that the house sleeps 12 the max amount of guests without an extra charge is 8. A bit confusing at first, but it worked out OK. When we arrived, check in was very simple. The inside of the house is nice but not exceptionally clean. My understanding is that there is somebody local who takes care of the cleaning and the owners live elsewhere. I think quality could be controlled a bit more with more frequent visits by the owners. The fans were very dirty, some even black. Different ledges and corners looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. There was a broom for us to use but we couldn't find any dustpan. If there would have been, we would have been able to clean up after ourselves a bit more. The outside of the house and the property needs a lot of help. Once again, somebody else is taking care of the property, so... The flower beds around the house are completely grown up with weeds and not taken care of at all. We found quite a few ticks on ourselves and taking care of things like this would help. The play area/playhouse and slide were virtually unusable because the whole thing was so grown up. No weed-whacking had been done. There were red mites that crawled all over the children if they played on the slide or in that area. There were supposedly trails in the woods that we could hike but even after having been told where to look for them we couldn't find the trail heads because everything was so grown up. All this to say that if there would be some serious maintenance done, mowing and weed-whacking and tree removal and flower-bed cleanup, it could be a really nice property. The fire ring was very nice with semi permanent benches. The hot-tub was awesome and a very nice added feature! Th grill that's there is very tiny so beware if you plan to cook anything on that. There is a permanent stone grill with grates outside that works quite well. Checkout went pretty well. There was confusion as to what time we were to check out. Some of the emails said 11 and others said 10. The papers posted around the house said 11, but the day before checkout we got an email from Michelle saying it was to be 10. We were able to get out by 10, but it would have been nice to have that clarified before we got there.

Easter weekend

We had a lovely stay in Chatham, the house was just as described, and it comfortably accommodated everyone in our party with room to spare. We really appreciated that there was adequate dining space for all seven of us to eat together both inside and outside. Highly recommended!

Great weekend getaway!

The house was the perfect place for a weekend getaway in the mountains. Cozy with plenty of space for the amount of guests listed. Location is tucked away for privacy, but not too far from outdoors attractions. Loved this home!
