Walk to Carowinds

Our room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious. Breakfast was delicious both days. We were able to walk to Carowinds in under 15 minutes with small kids.

Mostly good and some bad

Amazing location to carowinds (10 min walk) , very comfy bed and excellent shower and decent breakfast. Sadly found a bug in our bed on the first morning and there were stains on the trundle bed for my daughter but staff allowed us to move rooms. I wish they would have made up the trundle bed for us in the new room though , save us having to do and go back to reception to find a new sheet becuase the new one they gave us didn’t fit 🙈 but all in all a great stay.

Not a typical Spring Hill Suites

I have stayed at other Sping Hill Suites. Rooms are much larger and more comfortable. King size bed and queen size sofa bed had more privacy. Did not like the water closet seperate from full bath. There wasn't a tub. Traveled with a child. Only an outdoor pool. Was very small for the size of hotel. Have stayed at properties with indoor and outdoor pools. Expected the same. I asked at front desk to have the sofa bed made up. They told me linens were in the closet and I could do it myself.

Fantastic location excellent staff

My son and I had a great time. The location is absolutely perfect if you want to walk to the Carowinds Park and Ride some roller coasters. The people at the front desk and all the staff are amazing. Super friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very quiet and very clean. I will say that the room condition was not that great. There were water stains in the ceiling in the bathroom as well as some mold. The shower spigot was loose and pulled away from the wall. The bathroom door did not close in latch properly neither did the shower door. It did seem like the bathrooms needed a little bit of love but it was not cleanliness, it was more of Maintenance upkeep issues.

My granddaughter and I have a “Best Buddies “ trip each year. This year we decided on Carowinds and SpringHill Suites. We were not disappointed! Our room was great! Plenty of space and practical use of space. We love the separate toilet and shower. We will definitely stay with SpringHill again!!

We unfortunately didn't make it to our reservation. We've stayed here before, had a great experience. The hotel is great. EXPEDIA, however, is terrible. We missed our reservation because expedia rep mislead us by saying we had nothing to worry about, they were going to assist in changing the reservation due to our car trouble. They did not. I didn't was to slam the hotel on this review, because they have been great in the past. Buyer beware when dealing with expedia.
