The house was way above expectations…. We were very pleasantly surprised to find the house was even better than the pictures and very clean! Staylakenorman had the check in process made so easy and they gave us excellent information about the house and the surrounding areas. The kitchen there was AMAZING, every single drawer or cupboard was labeled with what was in it which made cooking for a large family very enjoyable. The hot tub was wonderful…clean and plenty large enough. The dock and kayaks were awesome as well. The bedrooms were large and the beds were supremely comfortable. They even had a Rosemary bush on the back patio to pick a little bit from and put on our steaks. This place was SUPERB!

This property was amazing! Clean and great location! Beach for the kids was perfect. Nicely shaded back yard and easy slope to the water. Perfect vacation rental!

Beautiful Home, perfect location

Rented this beautiful home for a weekend getaway for my hubby’s 50th birthday and it was perfect. Can’t say enough about the house, absolutely gorgeous and the view of the lake was breathtaking every morning! We will definitely book this one again!

Has it All

This lake is one of the best we’ve ever stayed in and we do this every year! Beyond the feel of a luxury resort in each and every room, the kitchen, the living room all of it is well appointed comfortable and has a view from just about every single room! The communication was incredible. The house has it all. It was a wonderful, wonderful stay.!

Excellent communication, beautiful home!

This home was beautiful, but very comfortable. It was very quiet, as well. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was great...everything was spot-on, including the communication with the host, who was able to accommodate some special needs for us. All in all, an absolutely perfect experience, we highly recommend it!!

A dream weekend!

The property was perfect for our weekend. Wish we had stayed longer to enjoy it more. It has almost anything you would need for a great getaway. The view from the master every morning was amazing! Spacious and clean. We will for sure come back.

Beautiful Lakeside Property

This house looks like it was built yesterday and all the details were carefully considered to maximize enjoyment. Fire pit on the beach, salt water hot tub with swinging arm for conveniently removing and replacing the cover, open living space design perfect for entertaining, and perfect bathroom to bedroom ratio. Great location on the lake.

Beautiful Vacation Home

This home was very cozy and relaxing. The view was amazing! The price of the cleaning fee is so expensive that I would expect the house to be spotless but there were a couple areas in the house that were missed. However, I would definitely come back.

gorgeous comfortable lake house!

Wow what an amazing weekend! We rented this home for my husbands 50th birthday, to have a place for his friends/family to stay and enjoy. And boy did they! The property was gorgeous with all the amenities of a 5 star resort! Crisp linens, fluffy white towels, comfortable furniture and everything you need to cook up a great meal! Would definitely rent this place again!

AMAZING!!!

This was one of my favorite houses that we have rented! It's close to all of the local stores (grocery, wine, Costco) and it was wonderful having a private dock. We also rented a boat from "Stay at Lake Norman" and it was perfect. The house is located in a nice cove that allows for skiing and other water sports without being out in the wide open part of the lake. You can even fish right off the dock; we caught perch, bass, and catfish. I love the open layout of the house and the sunset views were stunning.

Lake house

We couldn’t unlock the front door during our stay. We had no internet the entire time which was hard to work remotely. Our stay was great besides those two issues. The house was great and the view was great as well.

Perfect fall getaway!

Sandy Shores is a beautiful home with a modern design and spacious layout. It easily accommodated our family of 2 adults and 4 children, and the kids enjoyed having their own space with the en suite bathrooms. The amenities such as dish soap, garbage bags, plastic wrap, foil, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, garbage bags, toilet paper, etc. was amazing! The house is neat and well stocked. The cleanliness was medium, overall good but there are places that need some more deep cleaning (showers and general walls need wiped, washing curtains).

Wonderful house and location for family gathering.

We all loved the beautiful house and amenities. We made use of the pack n’play and high chair for the 2 yr old, loved the ease for having multiple cooks in the kitchen! Was very convenient to have en-suite bathrooms for adults. Note: the faucet over cooktop leaked at the faucet valve. Dishwasher ran out of rinse agent which took longer time for each use.

Make sure you are aware if people are coming by the house and when!

The place is perfect! The layout was awesome with the beach and the back deck is great. The views are perfect. I would give it 5 stars but we were very disappointed in the level of privacy we received. On 3 different occasions we had a different maintenance guy (guys) walking around the house and just walking up on my family with no warning. The first time it was a guy wearing a ski mask and my dog about attacked him, I had to jump over the bushes to stop him. The second time some random guy just walked around and started turning on the sprinklers while we were all trying to enjoy the back yard. Then the mowers came, and they came flying around the house...lucky my daughter wasn't standing in the yard!!! We literally had to go inside for an hour because they were mowing, trimming and then blowing the entire back yard. There was no warning that people would be coming to do anything and all the times people showed up it was in the middle of the day, during hours that people would definitely be enjoying the back of the house. That made it very difficult for one of the days we were there to enjoy ourselves. That was very frustrating

Perfect getaway home in a perfect location

the property management company, staylakenorman, made this process very easy and user friendly. the minute I booked the house I was receiving helpful emails about the house, the lake, the community, and just about everything you could think of. I signed the paperwork electronically and submitted it and was done. I was also immediately sent a message from the same company that also rented boats. I was able to rent a boat and be done with the paperwork within 20 minutes of clicking submit on VRBO to rent the house. they deliver a boat right to the dock before you get there and pick it up when you’re gone. great boat for family. we chose a tri-took but it had a 150 on it so we’re able to pull the kids on the tube even with the boat having 9 people on it. perfect set up. the house is also very close to a marina for gassing up the boat the management company would send me text messages the two weeks leading up to our arrival. each one was something to consider for our trip. one was an entire booklet about the house and all of the amenities, and also included links to dining in the area, grocery stores close by, pharmacies, medical services, things to do for the family/kids, lake maps, just anything anything you could need to know for a great trip. they made check in very easy. they sent an email with check-in time. and they had 6 digit code on the email. you entered that code into the lock on the door and you were in and done. the house was perfect. bedrooms were better than even the photos on VRBO. great common area/living room for everybody to hang out. the kitchen was perfect and a good dining table that can fit your whole group. the kitchen had everything you’d need as far as cooking, even a lot of spices that we didn’t have to go buy when we cooked. tons of fridge space with the main fridge and then behind the small bar area in the living room there is a big beverage fridge and a wine fridge. the outdoor area was perfect. a nice little seating area with string lights up by the house, a great small dining table for outdoor breakfasts, and then a sand beach area - one side with adirondack chairs and a fire pit - the other side with the water entry to swim right there in a huge area where it was no more than 6 feet deep probably 40-50 feet off of land. the kids had a blast in that area. we used the kayaks and the paddle board. and the dock was perfect to fish from. this was an excellent property. HIGHLY recommend.
