Great stay

Good spot on the Denver side of Lake Norman with plenty of space for a bigger group. Our group especially enjoyed the backyard area and cornhole boards. Would definitively book again and recommend to friends/family

Great Family Vacation

Our family enjoyed our Thanksgiving vacation at this property. Fishing, kayaking, playing pool, games and more! The house is spacious. We cooked all our meals and could eat together at the large dining table.

Great Amenities for kids

The adults and kids loved the many amenities at this house. The two kayaks and two paddle boards were used daily. The tween boys had fun catching fist from the dock. The pool table, darts, corn hole, ping pong and other games kept us occupied indoors on two very hot days. A couple of small issues were handled quickly by the management team.

Great communication + wonderful house

We had a great stay! Communication was AMAZING beforehand and we were able to plan for our trip better knowing what was already at the house. The bed sheets smelled super clean, which is always something I’m nervous about - but these were great! We had kids with us (including a newborn) and liked how much space there was to spread out. The back porch was nice with a fire pit and various outdoor games. Would definitely recommend!

Annual family gathering

Property was clean and had plenty of room and multiple gathering areas both inside and outside. We were able to bring a pontoon boat to the property and park in the dock. The property had the use of both kayaks and paddle boards. Enjoyed the pool table, cornhole and giant jenga. I do have to say that it is a pretty steep walk down to the water. All in all a very nice property and we had a great stay.

Healing Staycation

We as a family have experienced a lot of loss recently and needed a vacation. It was hard to schedule a short notice long stay further away due to school and work. So this stay was perfect with not going to far away but being close enough and being on the water.

Great escape

This large spacious house is tucked away on a quiet cove. The set up has everything you need! It is a fully stocked kitchen and water items for the lake too. We really enjoyed our time there. Surprised to find a mouse scurrying on the bottom floor and mold in the master bath where tiled work in the shower need to be addressed.

Really enjoyed Jake's Lake House

We had a great experience at Jake's Lake House. Overall, everything was as listed/specified. There are a few minor things they may want to fix or upgrade, such as the grill which didn't get above 250 degrees or the dishwasher that doesn't really wash the dishes. Plus a few other items. However, the sunset at the gazebo, lake access and overall beauty of the house well made up for it.

Lovely, Needs Maintenance

Beautiful home in good location on the lake. Plenty of ammenities. So much potential. BUT, this home needs maintenance. AVOID properties managed by Lakecations. Problem solving was severely lacking. I kept getting cheerful messages that "all is fixed", when in fact nothing had been fixed. Broken air conditioning was a huge deal to us. It took Saturday until Wednesday to get it fixed. Property Manager did not keep up to know that it was still broken - OR - they just don't want to spend the money to fix it. (All it needed was refrigeration, but approval took too long and Property Manager developed an attitude that was not customer service oriented in the least.) Also note that two "bedrooms" are technically not bedrooms in that there is no closet and little privacy through glass doors with blinds.

Great house for family gathering.

Lots of games to play - we even had a ping pong tournament (I lost!) lots of kayaks and paddle boards - we didn’t have to bring our own. We had so much fun! Host was super responsive, and I had LOTS of questions. Recommend!

Fun escape for all ages

A great getaway for 4 generations of our family! The indoor recreation was ideal since we had cool wet weather. Also the property representative Morgan was helpful, particularly when we needed to extend our stay.

Beautiful Lakehouse

Beautiful property, plenty of rooms for 14 adults. We were in town for short time but we enjoyed playing pool, ping pong, arcade games. May need to return in summer to take advantage of lake. Thank you!

So many things to do

We really enjoyed our stay at Jakes Lake House but felt like for the money we paid the grounds could have been better maintained. It looked like there needs to be pine needles out so the outside looked unkept. There were so many fun things offered at the house and we enjoyed many of them. I got a little upset as the owners of the property next to the house came in through the driveway and parked 2 cars and 2 golf carts on the grass where it was clearly stated no parking. We felt intruded upon as they walked done the drive to the water. They said they owned all the property that side of the driveway and therefore had the right to park there. Not good for me as I wanted the privacy I first felt the property offered.

Much Needed Family Time Away From It All!

Our family of 14 had a wonderful time on Lake Norman. Jakes Lake House was the perfect backdrop for rest and relaxation. The layout of the home suited our family perfectly, and we enjoyed the dock and boat rental immensely!!

Jake's is Great

Beautiful home that suited our group well. Loved the large deck, open first floor, and "tiki bar" between house and dock. Property management was responsive and friendly. The location has easy access to small town with groceries, etc, but no traffic. The house is on a small cove, so the lake views aren't the best. It's a personal preference: some will prefer the quiet calm of the cove, we like the expansive lake views more -- but it was as shown, no surprises. Unfortunately for our Clemson crew the host is apparently a Gamecock, but hey, no hard feelings. Final complaint: It should be named "Jake's Place," has a better vibe. Thoroughly enjoyed!

Outstanding Birthday Trip

Overall, the house was great. It was spacious, well equipped, clean, and relaxing. One kayak has no seat and one paddle board is not great but, still they were all functional. When we realized that we were short a paddle for one of the boards, the management company went and got one immediately. They were super on top of things. Good house for a large family vacation. Sleeps 14 easily. Many spaces to hangout.

Wonderful house and location for an extented family vacation

The house was perfect for us, our 3 children and their families. Each of the three floors has enough space for separate activities. The location on the lake with kayaks , a "lilly pad" and paddle boards made it easy for everyone to have fun without getting in a car. Property managers were very responsive to any request we had and extremely pleasant to work with.

The house is large and fit us all well. The outside hangout areas were nice, and it was convenient having the boat rental right at the house. Communication was great with the listing manager. Nice neighborhood. The house was obviously well used. One of the door handles was about to fall off, stains on the carpet, missing kitchen utensils. The air conditioner upstairs was struggling and at times it was reading 80 degrees. The boat rental itself was a little bit of a struggle. A separate company comes out and takes care of it. We were told it would be cleaned prior to use, but it was not. Everything had a layer of dust and grime from sitting for awhile. Most of the restaurants are on the other side of the lake, which is a good 30 minute drive. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but probably would not stay here again.
