Avondale Retreat

Wonderful vacation home to get away from it all! Outdoor covered patio with ample comfortable seating and dining area, outdoor TV, and fire pits as well as large tree shaded yard that is fully fenced. This dog friendly home is well equipped inside with comfortable beds, large closets, luxury towels and linens, and open kitchen and dining area with large center island/counter and chairs. There was a 75” smart TV in living room and quaint private sitting area on the front porch. A perfect retreat!

holiday getaway

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving here. Our son and young family live nearby and came over for the meal. Large kitchen worked well. The covered deck was a bonus for dining and entertainment. Grand dog loved the fenced backyard. Beautiful Charleston weather for walking and biking in the neighborhood and greenway. Owner very responsive to any questions!

Incredibly cozy and perfectly located

My wife and I stayed here with our sub-two year old daughter and it was perfect. Clean and modern, very comfortable, walkable to all the Avondale things and extremely convenient 5-10 minute drive to anything on the peninsula. We loved the outdoor couch, fire pit and TV at night. Would love to stay here again next time!

Lovely home in safe neighborhood.

We had a wonderful stay at this Vrbo rental! The home is within walking distance of several restaurants and a great little coffee shop all while being tucked away in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The backyard and covered deck were highlights, especially with the fire pit and TV—we enjoyed movie nights outside almost every night. The kitchen was beautifully appointed, and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The location across from a church means you’ll hear the bells, but you get used to it quickly. Our dog felt right at home, and we’d definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Charleston! Highly recommended.

Wonderful Stay in a great VRBO!

This is quite simply our home away from home. It is spotless, organized with just the right amenities and the hosts are very responsive. Absolutely Stunning Bungalow

This two-bedroom bungalow was absolutely gorgeous. The owners must be interior designers because everything that could be done to make each room in their house perfect - was done. My wife and I were there during a very HOT weekend, and (thankfully) the AC worked flawlessly. The backyard was HUGE and came with cornhole and bocce games - with plenty of room to play. There is a large covered patio area with outdoor seating for six. Their outdoor furniture was the most comfortable I've ever sat on. They also had an outdoor mounted TV under the covered area, but it was too hot out, so I didn't try to use it. Before arrival, the owner was kind enough to let us know that they had a fig tree producing fruit, so as soon as we got to the property, my wife picked several of them and made us a snack. They were great! A large flat-screen TV is mounted in the living room above the fireplace, and there are TVs in each bedroom. All TVs were on Dish Network. The kitchen was very well appointed with every appliance we could have wanted. My wife especially loved the gas range. Make sure to press the button on the back of the range before you cook - you will be blown away. The location was within easy walking distance to five local bars/restaurants. And there are three large supermarkets within a five-minute drive. The location of the house is between downtown Charleston and Folly Beach, so for me it was perfect. We're big fans of this property, and we'll be back!

Hidden gem

My husband, pups and I loved staying at this rental. The owners were very accommodating and great about communicating with us. They really went above and beyond on our stay, and we are beyond thankful for everything! Perfect stop to travel to all the beaches and downtown! You also have great spots near you within walking distance. We loved it!

Beautiful bungalow!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The house is beautifully decorated and welcoming, the beds have the luxury feel of a hotel, and the backyard is simply incredible! What a retreat! All of your basic necessities besides food are provided (they even had plenty of Keurig coffee pods for you!). The hosts were gracious enough to put out toys for our 1.5yr old and he loved the open floor plan of the house as well as the huge deck and yard. You are truly 15min or less (and that’s accounting for traffic) from anywhere in Charleston and a stone’s throw or short walk from many restaurants in the Avondale neighborhood of West Ashley. The neighborhood is quiet and cute and we loved the bell tower from the church across the street. The backyard is idyllic and it is the perfect place to relax amidst the busyness of sight-seeing, play games in the evening, or to have a cup of coffee in the morning. The bathroom tiles were even heated which was the most fun and luxurious surprise! We loved everything about staying here and would stay here again in a heartbeat! A simply wonderful and perfect place to stay when visiting the area.

Great property in a great neighborhood very close to downtown but also located in the middle of the drives between Folly Beach and Isle of Palms. Highly recommend! Very clean and great communication from hosts! A great property to bring a furry friend as well with the fenced in yard!

Perfect spot for small family!

This house was perfect for a long weekend away with our two kids (1 and 3). The house was cozy and had plenty of space and a shocking amount of storage and closet space! Everything was spotlessly clean and all of the linens (bedding and sheets) felt extremely high-quality. Beautiful kitchen and bathroom! Huge backyard and lovely covered deck to enjoy while the kids could play outside! Avondale area is a great spot to stay; lots to do right around the house, convenient to multiple grocery stores, just across the bridge from downtown. Owners were incredibly accommodating and kind, they even provided a high chair and left out some toys for our kids. 10/10 recommend and will be back!

A very happy holiday!

Truly a joyful experience from start to finish. Communication was quick, warm and welcoming. This is a very comfortable and safe home away from home with everything needed for work and play, in a peaceful setting that’s walkable to a lot of fun places. The modern amenities in a traditional home are so well done. And off-street parking is a bonus to help make quick trips to downtown, etc. a breeze. We look forward to going back!

Awesome home . Immaculate, Cozy. Large kitchen area and large fenced in back yard perfect for you pup.loved the outdoor deck area furnished with comfortable seating along with a tv and gas fire pit, and had grill. Well stocked. This is the perfect home away from home. Location is a perk. It’s close to everything Charleston has to offer. This was the 2nd time renting . Hosts are very pleasant and easy to communicate with. Charleston home that couldn’t have been more perfect for our family and fur baby

This adorable home in Charleston couldn’t have been more perfect for our family and fur baby. From the minute you walk inside, you immediately feel the love and warmth that went into putting this home together to accommodate guests.
