The home is in a great location on a cul-de-sac with plenty of parking. Our only major complaint was that the entire house had an extremely strong laundry detergent scent. While it’s reassuring to know the home is clean, the smell was very overpowering. We’ve never stayed in a home or hotel with such a strong detergent odor, so this was a first for us.Additionally, although we knew the unit was on the first floor, the noise from the guests upstairs was loud, we could hear every footstep. Fortunately, they were only there for two days. The listing notes that soundproofing was added, so we expected some noise, but it was ultimately louder than we anticipated.

The hosts thought of everything, from the gorgeous view and master suite hot tub, down to having extra sheets, extra towels, and charming stamps on the paper towel.The hosts were generous beyond reason with creating a wonderful stay. The house is truly a place of rejuvenation, a secluded paradise in any season of the year. A stay here will bring refreshment and recreation, and the hosts have done everything to make the stay as effortless and enjoyable as possible. From the outdoor fireplace, to the wonderful work suite and entertainment center, the hot tub, the fully prepared kitchen, the laundry facilities—a several days' stay won’t be long enough to do everything provided for guests.We can’t thank the hosts enough for this wonderful location, a place that can feel enough like home to make you wish you could stay longer. And that’s all without considering the immediate access to Carmel, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Big Sur, and Point Lobos that would take weeks to fully explore!Thank you so much for our wonderful stay!

5 star Fabulous on every single level beginning with our hosts, Callie and Susan and their responsiveness and 100% attention to detail. This property is immaculate and perfectly maintained. Everything is new sleek and modern yet cozy and comfortable. Our dogs felt so comfortable here with a totally enclosed yard and freedom to roam safely. every single detail was thoughtful and appreciated from the snacks and the wine to the welcome card, beautiful furniture, decor, & artwork so beautifully curated. Super comfy bed, with a great view. Lots of light in each room. We also loved the outdoor space which was very private. The chat set with gas fireplace & the heated spa provided a welcome respite each evening with soft string lights. The spa jets were not as powerful as we would like, but it was hot and ready to go and clean. put it this way, it’s in our top three rentals we’ve ever stayed in over these last 10 to 15 years and we can’t wait to come back!

Stunningly clean! Superb communication from booking to checkout. Appreciated the tour from the property host when we arrived who showed us important details. Simply perfect. Plenty of parking. The dead end street was so quiet. Hot tub, grill, and outdoor fireplace were such treats. Would book again in a heartbeat!

A few pros and cons. Great view, clean property and comfortable place to relax. Hot tub, fire pit and patio were the main reasons we liked this place. Board games and kitchen were also nice. Parking is on the street which is easy but no dedicated parking spot. A few cons:We both absolutely crushed our heads on a cupboard in the bathroom at night. No idea how everyone doesn’t.(pic attached)Late check in 5pm was tough. And lots of communication from property management before the stay.No AC - after being told “please reach out with questions” a number of times.. I asked if there was A/C and was promptly told that ac is rarely needed… it was hot at night, so we kept the windows open. But there are bright lights that stay on in the yard at night, the second night we were able to cover them, which helped with sleep.Camera on the patio - not great for using the hot tub.Some traffic noise - road close by

The guest house was clean functional, with so much attention to detail. Hot tub was easy to use and the outdoor space was really great. View was even better than expected and the neighborhood was close to everything! We had such great communication with the owners too. We would love to come back and stay again one day!

We so thoroughly enjoyed Callie’s place. Well appointed and clean; the fog kept the coast hidden from us most of the time but finally on the second afternoon we got a peak of the glorious views. Callie left us a sweet card and bottle of wine, plus snacks, and gave us a detailed list of local hikes and restaurants to enjoy. The beds were comfy, linens cozy (and colorful!) and the hot tub was essential! We’d love to go back! Thanks, Callie!

Absolutely picturesque highly functional this stay. The property was amazing with a massive backyard area, stocked kitchen, excellent amenities (yay hot tub!) and in home washer and dryer.Really felt like a home away from home. Dog friendly was a huge plus for us and in a very accessible location relative to Carmel, Monterey & Big Sur.Excellent and timely communication from the owner and property manager. Couldn’t recommend more and plan on coming back again soon!

Perfect stay

This was an impromptu birthday trip for my wife and this spot delivered. The host was awesome and the property is gorgeous. Close to hwy1 so you can quickly get to Monterey or head south about 5 minutes to the greatest brunch place on the planet, From Scratch. My family of 4 absolutely loved our stay.

The photos do not do the house justice, it is immaculate, spacious and well appointed. Location is excellent and easy access to the highway along with getting around town. Would absolutely stay there again and we felt very welcomed. There aren’t a lot of hosts that truly understand hospitality, Callie gets it and it left us with feelings of comfort and care. Four walls and a roof can have a lot of competition. What sets this place apart is the property owners themselves. They went above and beyond to make sure we knew the best of the best about the area, activities and dining to maximize every minute of our trip. Is the guest house perfectly clean and adorably decorated…yes! Are the views stunning…yes! Are the amenities plentiful and exceptional…yes! But what can’t be discounted or unappreciated is being treated like you’ve been friends for forever and that every need to have is anticipated and you being their guest is their top priority. Cannot wait to return!

Oasis in Carmel

Callie’s property was even better than advertised! It was fully stocked with essentials which is even more important when traveling with a toddler. The location was ideal. Callie was an incredible host. She was very welcoming and helpful with providing tips and information to make the most of our trip. We loved our time in Carmel!

Fantastic house in Carmel!

Location was really great, the guest house is the best equipped place I've ever rented. Very thoughtfully appointed with everything you would ever need. The owner was very welcoming and communicative. The HotTub was a wonderful end to a day of walking in town or the beach. I will come back for sure.

Excellent place to stay for Monterey adventures!

The place was exactly as described, and was the perfect spot to stay to visit Carmel, Monterey, Na Big Sur. Host was super communicative, making sure we had everything we needed, and provided great tips on things to do and places to eat. The house had everything we needed to keep us comfortable and enough room for our family of four. We loved to use the hot tub after our daily adventures. Highly recommended!
