We really appreciated the proximity to Carlsbad Caverns, but having to drive back to town for food was inconvenient. Still, the price was great and the accommodations adequate for 2 nights. Would stay there again.

there was no times listed on what time the pool/water park opened and closed. i wish there would have been a clearly marked time frame. Also the front receptionist wasn't the most pleasant person to work with.

Great stay. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly. Appreciated the continental breakfast and the fact that is right at the entrance of Carlsbad Caverns. Pool wasnt the most amazing, but kids liked the splash pad and water slide.

this was a good property for the cost, and the location to the caverns could not have been better. The staff was very helpful at check-in and the room is comfortable, clean and accomplishes what we need from a hotel.

The "breakfast" was extremely limited - packaged muffins and cereal with a jug of milk. It is nothing like what was pictured. Rooms were acceptably clean, beds were very comfortable, and the pool was enjoyable. Fine for an overnight or 2-day stay.

We enjoyed our stay here. The pool and slides were awesome; even though one of them was out of order, we stayed the entire day in the pool. The breakfast was only cereal, muffins, milk, oranges, apples, OJ, but next door was the Cactus Cafe. Would I stay here again? Yes The staff was very informative and friendly. The room was clean and the beds were very comfy. Thanks

Stay elsewhere for convenience

Great proximity to Carlsbad but I really wouldn’t recommend. Unfortunately we arrived on a Saturday night. Café closed at 3pm and was closed the next two days. Which meant we got their complimentary breakfast. That would have been awesome if there were a waffle maker which was promised on their website or if cereal would have been restocked. It was slim pickings. The “grocery” store across the street only has chips, jerky and candy. Not sure what the gas station had but they weren’t open when I drove by. Closest town is 20 min away and I had to drive there twice for lunch and dinner. So you might as well stay in Carlsbad. We used the pool too for my two kids. Bottom of the kids pool was brown with dirt and the water a lot colder than the swim pool. Out of two slides, only one was working. Room was clean and pretty comfortable but the walkways outside of the rooms are littered with cigarette butts and bugs.

A wild deer walked up to get some scratches from us early morning and then disappeared down the road. Great pool and slides. Very close to Carlsbad caverns. Had a great time.
