Knowing full well that the host is going to review me for other hosts to find out what kind of guest I am, is not deterring me from telling the truth. The best thing about this house was Christine from the management company. We talked and texted frequently during the first two weeks of our one-month stay to address all the issues. Here’s a little background…my husband & I with multiple family members have rented homes many times in the last 20 years from Greece (7), Florida, Punta Cana, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, & the Bahamas. This was not our first rodeo. Filthy front entrance, driveway/sidewalk. Christine arranged for power washing.Leaking washer, jammed ice maker. Christine arranged for both to be fixed. Nothing in the kitchen but salt & pepper. We had to purchase the rest. Old, peeling Teflon pots & pans which are considered toxic today. Shower curtain in the bathroom is not attached to the wall. Entire interior is tired & needs cleaning & painting. Christine sent cleaning ladies to wash the baseboards & corners after I complained. Advertised as having a heated pool. Yes it is if we pay another 1k for the month. We were offered half price when I complained. Refused. Bed pillows have stains, 1 mattress has a large urine stain, 1 bedspread has stains, smoke detector in 1 room not connected, 1 bedroom doesn’t have a closet or dresser.Filthy patio curtains. New ones were sent. There’s a few more things but I’m limited in how many characters I can write.
