The romm is clean and nice view of the ocean. Breafast is exceleent. The wines taste worse than bad vinegar. The magarita is not worth drinking. The buffet , well, nothing is worth wrting home.

Great resort. Second time here. Been to 9 other resorts in Riviera Maya and this one stands out. Beautiful property, plenty of pools and entertainment. The food is excellent, especially the lunch buffet by the main pool. Best we’ve had in Mexico. The beach is not the prettiest, but there’s a nice area for water-sports that is very calm. Highly recommend.

Hermosa aventura de año nuevo en Cancun bay resort ALL INCLUSIVE El alojamiento y los servicios del hotel fueron perfectos, fue una experiencia All inclusive excelente. La fiesta de Año Nuevo fue genial, con show de musica mexicana, baile y DJ. La habitacion con vista al mar super comfortable, y la calidad abundancia y variedad de comidas de los diferentes sectores de comida y restaurante buffet fueron excelentes. Las piletas son espectaculares, tiene una interna y 3 externas. Grandes actividades de animación durante todo el día, muy divertidas y bien conducidas por Drisdey, Alicia y el Dj Iván. Recomendamos este hotel por calidad costo/beneficio y seguramente volveremos. Gracias a todo el team del Cancun bay resort!!!! Agradecimiento especial a los mozos Miguel del buffet restaurante Faisan, a Saul y Javier de la Piña, que nos mantuvieron hidratados con prosecco todo el día.

The rooms were clean but oddly adjoining other rooms. Therefore some amenities(hair dryer and safe) were shared with the adjoining room. The area is fairly noisy especially during holiday celebrations. A rave was positioned a block away and went on through the night and next morning. That kept the entire group I traveled with up all night. The worst part was the food! In order to eat at the hotel restaurants, you had to make a reservation at 8:30Am the day of and no one told us that. The restaurants are not all open every day. The buffet is open every day but serves the same food every day and calls it something different. I was very disappointed as I was looking forward to good Mexican food on this trip and did not get served any. The beach is beautiful and clean. The concierge is helpful and speaks English very well!

The place is really run down, like the worst motel you can imagine. There's a speaker blaring music all day in the pool area, which most of the windows face, so forget about relaxing in your room during the day. We turned around and left right away, willing to lose all the money -- it was that bad.

The resort had 2 main issues. (1) there was limited dining options... the main buffet had very limited selection of food & then dining. The reservation system for the select restaurant was not explained to us well. (2) The internet at hotel was horrible, 7MB download, and it only worked mostly inside our room...many common areas did not have working internet.

Our room was not available, not surprised, they did however send us to an ocean view with only 1 bed, on the first night I fell because there was 3 steps down to bed and only took 2. Other than that the staff was very good. I wish the food was better at the Japanese restaurant. The service was aweful. The worse night we had there. All in all the main restaurant was the best and along with help they have it made our trip tolerable. Paty, main dining room and Ramon, italian were two highlights. The Italian was the best food we had along with omelattes daily and lots of fruit. The young lady with her new pup named Luna was very kind and helpful also at the front desk. I wish they had better wifi though, I also found out after getting there that my phone wouldn't work, even though I called and changed my plan to allow. The phone didn't work in our room and the desk man called the ride service to find out the pickup time for our trip to the airport. They keep everything very clean and the bar service was excellent!

The beds were very hard. Times were restricted. Difficult to get restaurant reservations. We will not be returning. This place could be really nice with some TLC. No couch in the common area. No decorations through out. Shower head had to be replaced due to excessive buildup. Yeah not worth the price.

I’m giving this resort 2 stars mainly because most of the staff were kind, the lobby looked nice, and the property was clean. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. The Cons There was no bottled water provided. If you wanted water at night, you had to go to the bar (if it was even open), get a glass of water, and carefully carry it back to your room without spilling it. The room was extremely outdated and very small. Several bruises from bumping the bed frame. Steps down to bedroom were slippery. The bed was very firm. The bedding was terrible — just a sheet — and we had to request a blanket. The shower looked like something out of a high school gym. For dinner, we were forced to use the buffet because restaurant reservations must be made by 8:30 AM and we didn't get to the hotel until 4PM. We arrived for dinner right when the buffet opened and none of the food was even warm. We tried chicken, beef, pork, potatoes — everything was room temperature, which made me afraid to eat. We had booked for 7 nights and left after the first night. No refund was given, but at that point I just needed to get out of there. During checkout, the employee didn’t ask why we were leaving early and didn’t seem to care at all. They also charge a $10 deposit if you need a second room key. and they consider Captain Morgan “top shelf” and charge additional fees for it, which was surprising. No Wi-Fi I do not recommend this hotel. Save your money and go somewhere else.
