The room I was given had a door with a broken door lock and a sliding door to the balcony that was missing the lock all together. I did not feel safe as the room was in the first floor of a busy part of Buenos Aires where safety is often a concern. I was then told that the only other room left in the hotel was a room set up for a person with a disability which meant the shower in the bathroom had no walls or curtains and the whole bathroom would flood. Since it was 10pm, and was in my own, I felt I had no choice but to accept it. When I walked into the room, which was also on the first floor, I naturally checked all door locks and found that the glass sliding door to the balcony was also missing a lock, which meant someone could simply slide the door open from the outside. I was told there was nothing they could do given the hotel was sold out. I asked if they had a long stick so we could place on the floor of the sliding door to prevent someone from opening. One of the employees found one and put it in place. I of course had a hard time sleeping that night as I was in my own and unsure this safety solution would work. Since both rooms were completely missing the lock on the sliding door to the balcony, I assume it’s same for all other rooms. The other issue is that the bathroom had a strong urine odor around the toilet. It had clearly not been cleaned properly. I could not wait to get out of there and don’t plan to return to this hotel.

A nice hotel in the Palermo district. Breakfast buffet is very nice. Front desk staff were unaware of the Expedia VIP perk, but then offered a nice fruit basket.

The Dazzler on Humboldt Street.

The hotel was excellent for a small hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Our room was huge. Just beware there are 3 Dazzlers in Palermo. My brother and I booked separate Dazzlers not realizing there were more. The area surrounding our hotel had a few places to eat. The steak house at the corner of the street was excellent in all ways. I was coming from a small town in USA and did not feel completely safe in the area at night. We did uber everywhere which is a very inexpensive way to get around.
