So, it can do the job if the right price is paid. If you’re paying more than (2025) £65, there had better be a good scheduling reason (weekend, lack of other options, etc). The room was dated. Blinds didn’t work, noisy. Bathroom was a bit like a small older cruise ship near the waterline (no higher). Staff were really good, doing their best. Again, it’s about the price. Location next to rail station is very good, but it’s outside of the better stuff.

We drove with a family and had nowhere to park when we went to check in. We were advised of the preferred parking option which was 500m away and a struggle to luck all the luggage with a young family up the hill to the hotel. The car park also stunk of urine.

Have been staying at Ibis every year for the last 8 years while in Brighton. I found new staff this year to be unfriendly and not accommodating. This will be the final year we will book Ibis. As a matter of fact on check out I greeted the staff at front desk without a response.

Great location for us. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room fine but a little more basic than expected e.g. compared to Premier Inn. Bathroom showing some wear and grinding noise when cistern refilling and noise of any water e.g. shower, toilet flush in upstairs bathroom quite loud. Breakfast good and plentiful.
