Wonderful!!

My family and I absolutely loved this cabin! It has the perfect Colorado feel and it was the three days of rest we really needed. We read, had a fire in the wood burning stove, cooked, baked cookies, and just hung out. We loved it so much that we passed on a day of skiing at Eldora. It was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking all of our meals. We bet it's amazing in the summer also! One of my daughters just loved laying in the loft and reading all day with the birds chirping out the window. And what a bonus to have a garage to park our car! You truly feel like you are part of nature here and if you need something a general store is very close. Thanks to our wonderful hosts - we will be back.

Amazing memories made

We had a wonderful time! The spot was easily accessible and there was everything you could think to need for a vacation (especially those little things you forgot at home) the whole process was amazing and we can’t wait to get back and stay in the same place !

Loved the cabin.. came to Colorado for a Buffaloes game with wanting to see the scenery also… Wish I had longer to stay but family all had to go back to work so hopefully one day we will be back to spend more time!!!

Beautiful and spacious retreat in nature

This cabin was perfect for our friend getaway in the mountains. It is a beautiful log cabin with all of the cozy vibes but actually quite luxurious - gorgeous bathrooms and kitchen, extremely comfortable beds and luxe linens, wonderfully equipped and ready for anything you could need. We enjoyed the deck and fire pit, cooked in the kitchen and made fires. Zero complaints. Very spacious too! We’ll be back!

Cabin Near Blackhawk

Cabin was wonderful. Furnished with appliances, spices, and other things needed to cook meals. Mostly quiet but pretty close to a highway. There was some road traffic but not bothersome. We had 2 moose come close to the house one night. Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome location

Can’t say enough good about the location and the house. It was awesome. Well stocked with everything you need to make meals. Very clean and quiet after dark. If you’re into hiking and small towns this place is close to it all. The owners left a binder of information on the surrounding area which was really handy. We had several questions when we arrived and the owners responded right away. We had no issues and we would highly recommend staying here.

Simply Amazing!

We had a great time as a family. The plan was to disconnect from the city life and spend time together and take advantage of the view Mother Nature offers, and a cozy cabin. This place and location offer the best of both worlds. Technology and big nice monitors all worked. You just have to be there. All the amenities worked and we had a great time. The owners and the attention to detail and availability to answer any questions we had, really 5 STARS!

Great first CO experience

Exact description of cabin on VRBO. Beautiful property, both inside and out. Perfect location for our trip to our son’s wedding in Nederland. Cabin stocked on bedding, towels, condiments, kitchen supplies, firewood. Basically everything there but food, drink and you! We had a great stay!!

Great semi-secluded modern cabin

Lovely property about 45 minutes up the mountain from Boulder. It has everything you might need in the kitchen and plenty of room. Nice to have a garage to park the car. Beds very comfortable and spacious deck and deck to sit outside. Only con: walls and ceilings are paper thin, you can hear everything but if you have a quiet group, it may not matter. We’d stay here again.

Great little cabin stay

Family enjoyed staying at his property. The gas fire was a nightly favorite for making smores, the back deck was a great patio setting for grilling, or just sitting and watching the hummingbirds. We walked the property and discovered lots of wildflowers to the delight of our 3yr old. Pros: in the middle of everything; Ned, Black Hawk, Idaho Springs, nice property with lots of little awesome amenities, snacks, etc. comfortable beds, rustic setting. Cons: no AC, it got warm one night but was cool the rest of our stay; privacy can be a challenge-you can easily hear from one bedroom to the other; a little close to the road, although it quiets down during the evening.

Weekend Mountain Getaway

Check in and communication was seamless. Cabin was "rustic meets ski lounge" - exactly what we were after! The property is somewhat close to the main road/highway, so you can hear some road noise from time to time. Overall excellent experience!

Excellent Get Away Location

This property was perfect for our vacation. Other reviews mention the "busy" highway. This house is very soundproof and the main road near the cabin is really not that busy. The property was very clean and stocked with anything you might need inside. We had a snow storm during our stay which is what we were wishing would happen for the kids and the layout of the property is perfect for sledding and building snowmen. If you are traveling from anywhere with low elevation, I highly recommend getting oxygen boost before you arrive. The cabin is just shy of 9,000' in elevation and coming from FL, it was in fact difficult to breath just moving our luggage around or walking up the steps. If we ever plan a trip back to the area, I will definitely be trying to book this property again.

College Buddies Getaway

What a fun weekend! Two couples - one from Florida and one from Mississippi - met up for a long weekend of visiting. We ate, we drank, we laughed, we rode, we cheered, we ate some more, we drank some more, and had t The. best. Time. The cabin felt like we were visiting old friends who just happened not to be there. So homie, well stocked, comfortable, and beautiful. Definite five stars!
