This admittedly is a tough one to review. This is a cute house, we enjoyed our stay, and house was comfortable for our family of 4 and our dog. Was clean, lots of parking, nice flooring downstairs, we enjoyed the big table in the eating area as well as the comfortable living room, and nice having bedrooms for everyone. Downstairs bedroom is a bit dark but the ones upstairs were great. Location was also great as very quick to get to Sunriver Village. Even walked it in the snow. With that being said, however, honestly don't know if it would be our first choice to go back to, but we would go back to it if couldn't find another place or if it was just the two of us. Primarily feel this way because the kitchen is so tiny and in need of some upkeep. It's really only made for one person to be in there at a time. We managed 2 a couple of times but it was tricky and made for a bit of a challenge in trying to cook meals for the entire family. We found that we ate our dinners out more than we were planning to as just was too difficult to manage cooking a big meal in the kitchen, let alone trying to clean it afterwards. Kitchen could use some new silverware (a lot of pieces were broken), could use another pot and a small frying pan, the cabinets are very old and don't always close, and the stove vents right up into the upper cabinet (not into a vent to take it outside) so it just pushes the steam right back into the kitchen. Thank goodness we could open the window to help push the steam out. We also had a couple of issues that Vacasa was great in responding to quickly but unfortunately couldn't completely solve while we were there but they did come up with alternatives for us - 1) the door would never accept any codes (just the worst door lock we've ever encountered) so had to rely on the 1 spare key that was in the lock box the entire time and 2) the hot tub had a padlock but it was rusted so the key wouldn't work to open it. Vacasa helped us out with a way around it for the time we were there. Also, we are pretty positive the hot tub got installed backwards into the deck! We have a hot tub and typically the controls and main step into the hot tub are always at the front, where people step into the tub. But instead these were at the back next to the fence (so step was unusable) and also meant that you can't get to the controls until you are actually in the hot tub. Very weird. But overall, we enjoyed our stay here.
