Historic 5-Acre Farmstay: Hot Tub, Fishing Pond, Bikes, Fire Pit, Pet-Friendly!

Welcome to Oak Spring Farms, a romantic 1865 homestead on five scenic acres surrounded by oak trees, wildlife, a fishing pond, and a natural spring. Enjoy a private hot tub, outdoor fire pit, five bicycles, and a peaceful countryside escape—pet friendly and minutes from Mohican State Park, skiing, and local attractions.

Please note: From late January through May, our historic barn will be undergoing a weekday restoration project as part of preserving Oak Spring Farms.

What to expect:

Construction occurs Monday–Friday during daytime hours only

Intermittent sounds such as hammering, sawing, and occasional heavy machinery

Work is mostly out of sight from the farmhouse, but some noise may be audible

No construction on weekends

Guests seeking complete silence and total privacy should book weekend stays, which are unaffected.

By booking during this period, guests acknowledge and accept the presence of weekday construction activity. Construction-related noise or visibility will not qualify for refunds, discounts, or early departures.

This beautiful farmhouse is so charming, and they have thought of everything! Druving in is like driving into a Hallmark movie in the snow with it decorated with wreaths on the windows for Christmas! So beautiful! But when you walk inside, it’s even more charming and welcoming! Our two labradors loved playing outside in the snow in their new home away from home! It was one of the best Vrbos we have ever stayed in as a family ! Thank you for providing such a wonderful place to get away in such a beautiful place as Bellville, Ohio!

The property was very relaxing, clean, and pet friendly. There was a lot of attention to detail. We enjoyed the coffee bar and smoore station. The hosts are very responsive and have literally thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. Our dog enjoyed exploring the property.

We looked for hours trying to find a place that was perfect for us and our French Bulldog. Since the National Doll Show was in Newark, we had many places to look thru…And I found it: here! And, it was even better in person!A restored farmhouse done with class. And EVERY possible necessity was met..We were so very pleased! Quiet & peaceful. Sweet little touches such as handmade s’mores & popcorn machine, robes…Even the Frenchie was spoiled with toys & bedding. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day and the fire pit with supplied wood, was relaxing as well. I would RECOMMEND this to anyone for a place to stay…It was PERFECT and beyond our expectations. This property is OUTSTANDING. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It was very peaceful and relaxing. I honestly didn't want to leave. From the very start, I felt very welcome and could tell our dog was equally welcome. The home is beautiful and the attention to detail was obvious. The bed, linens, and towels were high end. We look forward to visiting again.

Wonderful Host and a beautiful property! Super clean house with excellent set up has everything you need. Great mattresses and luxury bed linens, like sleeping on a cloud. Providing robes to use was a nice touch. We used them more that we thought we would. Hot tub was very clean! Host was available for any questions we had. We'll be back next year!

Girls Weekend

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and property with us. This was supposed to be a weekend away for sisters and nieces to relax and catchup. Instead it turned into an amazing adventure enhanced by nature and the so welcoming "at home" feeling of the accommodations. The kitchen table and porch rockers saw more laughter, tears from laughter, and deeper family bonding than we imagined. A return visit is already being discussed!!

This property was just beautiful. We arrived to a spotless farmhouse with modern features, decorated with country charm. There were a lot of sweet surprises like a popcorn machine and s’mores packets.

Amazing place to relax for family and furbabies. So much to do and explore, but also plenty of space to find peace alone for a bit. The beds are comfy, and the renovation is classy. We'll be back!

This property is beautiful! The hot tub was wonderful, the fishing pond was nice, the property was clean and comfortable. We do recommend going to PackRats Shack if you enjoy thrifting, the Mohican State Park, and the Mansfield Reformatory while you’re in the area!

Adorable farmhouse

This property is super cute, with adorable touches throughout to make the stay comfortable. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short, but the hosts were very kind and quick to respond when we ran into an issue. We will definitely book again in the future and can hopefully stay longer!
