We stayed at this property from December 22–27 while hosting family for the holidays. With 12 overnight guests & Christmas dinner for 16, space, comfort, & functionality were essential.Although advertised as a “Huge Family Retreat” & pet-friendly, the backyard lacked grass or appropriate pet bathroom areas & was not fully fenced. Items were scattered throughout the yard, including toppled planters & a fallen hammock, making it unsafe to navigate. While the bathrooms & kitchens appear updated, they are quite small. The first floor did not comfortably accommodate large gatherings, & the kitchens were not well suited for cooking or hosting meals for a group our size.Bedrooms lacked basic amenities such as hangers, dressers, & towel hooks, forcing guests to live out of suitcases. Mattresses were very firm with no pads or toppers provided. There were also insufficient towels & linens for 12 guests; some dirty linens were left in the washer on arrival, & even after laundering, there were not enough for everyone's needs. We encountered several safety & comfort concerns: some windows would not lock or open, beds were placed directly over heat vents, & the exterior foyer door did not lock. The home also lacked accessibility features, with low beds & couches, limited stair railings, & obstacles at the main entrance. We reported multiple maintenance issues, including loose toilet seats, a non-functioning heater, & water leaks under the stove & sink. Parking was limited.
