Rooms were nice and roomy and very comfortable bed, only thing missing was a shower cap.in the bathroom. There was a creek flowing behind the property which was quiet lovely.

Please, beware when checking in/out of this hotel. Upon return from our stay, I noticed we were over charged for our nightly room rate. When I called to explain the situation to the front desk they refused to fix the issue in spite of my confirmation email of the correct rate I had booked. When I asked to speak with management, multiple times, I was refused and eventually the front desk agent hung up on me. When travelocity called the hotel with the correct rate the hotel also refused to fix it for them. As a previous hotel manager, this behavior was wild to me. The other two guests in my party were also over charged for their rooms too. So please be aware of this concerning behavior prior to booking this hotel. In addition, the breakfast buffet was very lacking, had old/stale food, the staff was not friendly at all, the walls are paper thin and the highway noise is VERY loud in rooms.

This hotel is a gem among other local gems. It is underrated in my opinion as it is a hotel that has been updated but with the realization that its charm is in its architecture and public spaces to be enjoyed and taken in. The room was very nice but hanging out in the hotels public spaces made the stay very memorable. The Breakfast needs some improvement but it was adequate and free
