The roof top pool is so small and the indoor one requires extra charge. There’s not really any “service” that you’d expect from a five star hotel. Bathroom is modern but water runs everywhere after shower because of the way the shower is installed.

A nice stay but could have done more

We had a lovely stay at the Nobu hotel. I had mentioned that we were celebrating our 50th anniversary when I made reservations for dinner but nothing special was done. After we checked in the person who checked us in said they would do something special the next day. Which they did. But overall it was strange that nothing happened until our second day.

The worst Nobu we’ve ever stayed in.

Our stay at Nobu BCN was honestly one of the worst we’ve experienced. It was not a Five Star experience at all. For a five star hotel you do not expect to experience the following (we were staying in one of their junior suites); - ripped towels in bathrooms - many holes in black out curtains - rooms not cleaned & towels not replaced - black mould around the shower floor - service was extremely poor from check-in desk to restaurant & waiting staff. - cold, filtered and weak coffee in the bar - no accessories in rooms such as razors, body cream or combs etc. (reception told us we needed to request them. Personally, for a 5 star hotel in one of their higher spec, more expensive suites, you shouldn’t have to ask for small accessories.) - after requesting a late check out, we were quoted a fee 30% higher than the room rate for 1 night available on hotels.com. After calling reception back to flag this, the receptionist was extremely rude which lead to an exchange that felt like we needed to earn the right for the correct rate to be applied. Again, not what you expect from a five star hotel. To conclude, the small touches and service are what make it a five star stay worth it in our opinion. We’ve stayed in Nobu in other areas of the world and had an amazing experience. This one fell short massively.

While I was truly impressed by the beauty of the space and the high-end design, I regret to say that my overall experience was deeply impacted by the way I was treated throughout my stay. From the moment I checked in, I was met with unwelcoming attitudes and cold stares from front desk staff. Their demeanor was noticeably dismissive, and I felt as though my presence was treated as an inconvenience rather than a guest arriving for a luxury experience. This feeling only intensified when I dined at the Nobu rooftop restaurant. I waited an unusually long time for my food, and not once during the evening was I checked on by staff. Meanwhile, guests around me—who were not people of color—were consistently receiving attentive and timely service. It was hard not to feel the stark contrast in treatment, and frankly, it was disheartening. The most telling moment came when another guest—also a person of color—approached me outside the elevator to ask how my experience had been. When I replied that it felt discriminatory and disrespectful, he immediately agreed and shared that he’d been feeling the exact same way. That exchange confirmed that what I experienced wasn’t isolated. As someone who travels often and values quality hospitality, I chose Nobu with high expectations. Unfortunately, the lack of inclusive and equitable customer service left me with the impression that my race played a role in how I was treated.

Incredibly slow front desk, takes a long long wait to do anything even just replace a key. Very understaffed, expect lines and waiting. Rooftop is open to public and always jammed, impossible to access except at off times. Rooms are super nice though
