Great location and nice stay

Nice to enjoy the view of the back of Casa Battlo- just as colorful but without seeing the crowds. Stylish apartment, and elevator worked fine. Master bedroom off living room had limited privacy with glass doors and a translucent curtain. Lots of steps up and down throughout the apt. Our teen/21 year old sons didn’t find the 3 bedroom room very comfortable to sleep in. Nice kitchen and LR. The Barcelona city visitor tax seems legit (currently 5 euros per night per adult guest), but was not mentioned in the listing. Seeing that mentioned in other reviews, I asked ahead of time and was told it must be paid in cash at check in and couldn’t be charged thru the VRBO app, the explanation seemed fishy. Overall tho, a nice stay.

Quiet, comfortable and excellent location.

This is a lovely quiet apartment just steps away from all the activities of shopping, sightseeing and dining. Only issue was one of the toilets was broken. We had been advised of the issue when we arrived and the property manager was unable to get the parts to repair the problem during our visit. It had little impact on our stay but might trouble a group who expects three fully functioning bathrooms.

Beautiful unit in a great location but service needs improvement

We recently stayed at this unit in Barcelona. While there were some positive aspects to our stay, there were also several issues that made it less enjoyable than we had hoped. The location is excellent, situated in a vibrant area close to many attractions and amenities. The unit itself is beautiful, with stylish decor and a modern design. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free. Unfortunately, one of the toilets in one of the bedrooms did not work during our entire 5-day stay. We notified the host on the first day, but we were told that a plumber would not be available since it was the weekend. While this might be understandable in some towns, it was not an acceptable response in a major metropolitan city. Even after the weekend, there was no effort made to address the issue. The lights on the kitchen stove were not functioning and were also not fixed despite notifying the host. Privacy in the main bedroom is limited due to large glass doors with sheer curtains (especially when lights are on). We specifically asked the host about the curtains before booking and were told they were thick, but they are not. This may not bother everyone, but it’s worth considering if privacy is important to you. Overall, the property has great potential, but the lack of responsiveness to maintenance issues and inaccurate information about the curtains impacted our experience. With better communication and service, this could be an outstanding place to stay.

Outstanding location close to everything which made our stay fun. But ... Perhaps apartment could benefit from linens being upgraded, towels were thin, comforters had small stains, no dish towels, no lighting over stove (in case you want to cook), living room rug and bedroom rugs were quite dirty. Televisions in living room and master bedroom did not work. Button for flushing toilet in master bath missing. When I nicely informed the owner she rebuffed me.

Pre-cruise adventure

We wanted to spend a couple of days in Barcelona before we got on a cruise ship. The property was the perfect option for exploring the city and seeing the sites. Balcony looks at back of Casa Batllo. Clean and comfortable. Was told due to construction it would be noisy…..it was NOT. A lot of stair climbing. Near food, subway and Rodalies that takes you to airport. Also near Hop on Hop off bus.

Beautiful Apartment

The apartment was just as beautiful as the pictures! The beds were so cozy, great showers with excellent water pressure and, the place was immaculate. The building was under construction, and while we did not notice ANY sort of construction dust in the apartment at all…the stairs were brutal (especially when carrying our suitcases up and down) and probably should have been mentioned in the listing. There was also a city tax that we had to pay upon checking in in cash that we could not find mentioned in the listing, however, after doing much research, it is a very common fee to pay….so just be prepared. Check in was super easy, and the apartment was centrally located to so many great bakeries and restaurants. We would stay here again without question!!
