Our first time to the bayou - this was a great location and the host was very responsive to our inquiries. Our fishing charter with Captain Chad was a big highlight during our trip. We would come out again - thanks for a great stay!

Bayou life was incredible. The house is clean, equiped with all we needed, and perfectly situated on the bayou for fishing, lounging and trips into the french quarter. The host was very responsive and friendly and was seen several times tending to the yard and property between renters of other nearby properties. The neighborhood is quiet, and we had all the room we needed to have a fun spring break with our family. He arranged a fishing charter for us, which was cold, but so fun. We caught our dinner and cooked it and other meals at the house. We made great memories and appreciate the opportunity to stay at Bayou Life.

The host was welcoming and accommodating of my sister and her kids spending a night. The home was spacious and there were plenty of beds for everyone to sleep comfortably. The views were beautiful and we enjoyed the grill for burgers. In the morning before we left we saw dolphins swimming and jumping in the bayou! It was a good trip.

Morgan was helpful in so many ways even with questions and suggestion I had before our trip.. We had a great experience with the Charter boat he suggested. Came to the house and picked us up. Captain Ron was fabulous and we caught a good batch of fish. House was very comfortable. The ice maker was the best cause we went through a lot of ice with fishing and all. It is a super place. We had 6 adults and 2 teens in town for a fishing trip. It was a wonderful stay with plenty of rooms for everyone! The teens loved the location with the dock on the water…they fished and had crab traps going the whole time. Close to the grocery store, nearby restaurants and very convenient to the local fishing guides! Highly recommend and we will definitely return

Everything was perfect for our double family weekend getaway! The listing already seemed like it was too good to be true, but then they still exceeded our expectations. The host was very responsive and helpful. They really thought of everything to make our stay wonderful. The only thing we would have changed was making it a longer trip. Great space to see New Orleans area

We stayed for 7 days. From this wonderful house we went on local airboat tour, fishing trip where we were picked up from the dock, went into New Orleans and visited plantations. It was always great come ‘home’. The space was relaxing and clean.

Our stay at bayou life was nothing short of amazing. The house is beautiful, roomy and a quiet location to just unwind and enjoy the simple life. The owners are great folks with many suggestions of places to eat great food and activities to explore the bayou. Fishing is top notch we filled coolers with lots of nice fish. Mr. Richard's crab farm is a must see we really enjoyed visiting him and learning what it takes to get soft crabs to the table. We will definitely be back to stay at bayou life. Quiet and enjoyable

The neighborhood was great. We really enjoyed our stay. Everything recommended was fun to do. The only thing that we would have changed , we wish we had more time to stay and do more things in the area. Within an hour of the house there is probably a months worth of things to see and do. And to try all the food around is impossible.

A great place on the bayou!

My oldest son wanted to come fishing for his bachelor party weekend. Although the fishing was difficult due to weather, the house was very comfortable and exactly as described. The guys tried the crab traps, fished, and kayaked in the bayou. It was comfortable for everyone to stay and enjoy some guy time together. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

Great Choice

House was peefect for our Bayou experience. House has everything you need, just bring the groceries and detergents for laundry. Beds are comfy and the house is roomy with large bedrooms. We caught tons of fish and 5 crabs(just wanted to try it). Host was awesome, he checked in with us to make sure everything was great and even gave us local shrimp which were the best we have EVER had..

Fish Haven

The house is in a great location, in a quiet neighborhood, and less than 10 minutes away from grocery shopping. Morgan is an exceptional host. He connected us with a fishing charter captain who picked us up right from the dock of which has good fishing. We will definitely make this property our go to spot in Barataria in the future.

Great little Jem.

Pros-House is great. Beds, pillows, sheets comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with every tool you might need. Location is nice tucket away from busy area but close enough to get to it really quick. Host is great at answering questions or helping with suggestions in the area. Cons-while house has lots of beds there really isn’t enough glass wear or plates for large group. Also seats in main area are also not enough for large groups. Kitchen table is very high and has tall bar stools. Looks nice but not very practical.

Week of relaxation

My family and I had a great time at the house. It had everything we needed. It was our home away from home. It wasn't too far from the city and had lots of things to do in the area. I would recommend. We enjoyed our time. Host was attentive and responded to messages timely. We would go back again for another stay.

The property was nice. The fishing was slow but overall it was good. Bring stuff like dishwasher pods. Would recomend if you want a quiet place with gorgeous sunrises
