Family Getaway

We loved the location of Lighthouse Point. Being so close to the marina, grocery and the Bald head island club was great. The golf carts were in the best shape of any we have used in the past 5 years. The house was as advertised and we really enjoyed our stay

This is the third time we’ve stayed at this house. Convenient location to the pool and short walk to the beach. Always clean. Great hosts. Looking forward to our next stay.

Wonderful Stay

Beautiful house. A little hiccup when we first got there but the host was very quick to rectify and made our stay wonderful. Great communication. We stayed for my son’s 15th birthday and had a great weekend.

Great house, great location

The house is exactly as described. Kitchen had everything we needed, great access to beach and golf carts in great shape. Communication was great before and during our stay. Definitely recommend!

Traditional Memorial Day family time

We loved the house altogether! The amenities of the great golf carts, bikes, and beach toys in the garage for our family's use were wonderful! We loved the hammock and the grill to cook out! We spent lots of time together on the porch off of the living room in view of the ocean - what a wonderful opportunity all day long, morning to night! We loved the easy access to the beach! We had a wonderful time!

Truly Amazing!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this home! The house was great, so centrally located and everything you can need! Tons of stuff for families ( which made travelling super easy). The views were amazing and the owner couldn't have been nicer to work with!! The island is awesome - our family can't wait to return! Highly highly recommend!

Girls Weekend Vacay

The house was exactly as pictured. Very clean and had all the features to make it a prefect little getaway. The owners went out of their way to ease our arrival and departure. We would gladly stay at 4 Snowny Egret again and again. The location of the house is great with an easy access to a lovely beach.

Great, new BHI home - don't miss out!

My husband, myself, and three other couples stayed here for a long weekend in November. The property has everything you could possibly need for a relaxed vacation. We spent hours and hours on the outside porch enjoying the waterfront views. The property is a short walk from the beach and a short golf cart ride from the market. I am already recommending this property to friends & family!

Weekend made for relaxing

Our overall stay was amazing! We initially had a minor hiccup but I was so impressed with how everything was handled. The property is beautiful and has the perfect setup for enjoying the ocean view or relaxing in front of the tv. Bald Head Island is such a fun place! Exploring on golf carts and eating good food is a perfect way to spend your vacation!

Everything about the property was as advertised. Ideal for young families with bunk beds, two primary bedrooms, two golf carts, two highchairs and two pack n plays. Kristin was incredibly responsive, helpful and flexible!

Fantastic house for kids and adults

My family and friends had a tremendous time at Sweet Home Carolina. I've stayed on Bald Head 7 times before, and this is the best house that I have ever rented. This is also a phenomenal house if you have little kids. Pack-And-Plays, bikes, strollers -- they really have all that is needed and it makes a trip to the island with kids much easier. The house is brand new and very well maintained. The views of the ocean a panoramic. Its a wonderful place to spend a week or more!

Beautiful House with Everything You Need

This house was among the cleanest we've rented on the island - even compared to houses managed by larger property management companies. While nearby construction made the location slightly less desirable, the house had everything we needed and more. This house would be fantastic for a family with kids - games, toys, supplies galore. The owners were great at communicating and responded positively to feedback. They clearly care immensely about their property, and it shows.

Highly Recommend - Great Home - Great Location - Great Owners

When I go on a family vacation, I want everything to go smoothly without any problems. Everything was perfect with renting Light House Point on Bald Head Island. Owner communication was tremendous. We cheated a bit and took a private boat/taxi to (and from) the island with BHI Delivery (which I highly recommend). The house was great and well equipped and comfortable. Easy (and short) walk to the beach. It was a great family vacation -- kids enjoyed it, and mom and dad were able to relax. Highly Recommend. Thank you.

Another great stay

Back for a second year! Wonderful & comfortable home with all amenities. Superb location. Clean, well kept, with attentive & reachable owners. Have stayed at several homes on island, but this one rocks in terms of proximity to beach/waves and comfort factor. Regardless of how hot it might be, you always get a great breeze on the deck. Sitting outside, listening to the waves, reading, chatting with family, and/or watching the bikes, golf carts, or boats go by are what come to mind when thinking about our week here. Very easy/short walk to ocean and less than 5-min drive to pool, golf, kayaking, restaurants and grocery store. Bliss...

We had a wonderful stay and have nothing negative to say. Two comments, the freezer was producing frost and not efficiently producing ice, an ice machine would be a nice addition for the well planned kitchen. The Keurig was a little messy to use, descaling would remedy that. Thanks for sharing your home on a American Treasure Bald Head Island.

Fantastic Stay at BHI

My family had a wonderful week-long vacation at Bald Head Island and a primary reason was our awesome rental! The house was a vibrant, comfortable, and well-stocked home base for all of our beach activities, and the view from the decks are tremendous. Included little details like provided beach towels, starter washer/dishwasher pods, tons of baby/toddler equipment, etc. just add to the ease of planning a week at the beach. And they had it all here. In addition to the five-star physical characteristics, I cannot say enough about how responsive the owners were during our stay. We had a minor issue with the fridge when we arrived and it was fixed in no time and on a Sunday to boot. Basically this was the complete package for a no-stress, awesome beach vacation.

Well designed and well appointed/supplied for a family vacation. Great location. Owners were very responsive to texts and concerns. Only slight negative: we were not informed of ongoing construction of a new home next to property. Workers/roofers noises disrupted our use of porch for reading. Enjoyed use of golf carts, bikes & beach supplies. Clear directions for property use. Kitchen cabinets were clearly labeled. Decoration was very pleasing & comfortable. Showers were great.

Great getaway with friends and family!

A group of 6 adults and 2 children stayed for a long weekend. The house was equipped with everything needed for the kids (as the listing showed) making traveling to the island easy. Owners were extremely helpful while planning the trip with our 2 children. They sent over a packet full of information about the house and island beforehand and answere all of our questions in a timely manner. The house was fantastic! The living space was a great size for our group and the kitchen was large enough to cook meals. The bunk bed room was far enough away from the other rooms and upstairs; so nap time and bed time worked perfectly - even while the adults stayed up and hung out! In addition, the location was amazing. A short walk to one of beach access points and a short drive to the BHI club. Overall, we would stay here again!

Wonderful home for family vacation!

Sweet Home Carolina was the perfect home for our extended family vacation! Our Spring Break vacation consisted of 3 families, with young children, whom enjoyed every minute of our time at Bald Head Island. The home was not only in great condition, beautifully decorated, and in a perfect location (ocean view/access and near BHI club), it was stocked with everything a family could need. From beach chairs, toys and towels, to bicycles, golf carts, inside toys and every kitchen appliance/amenity you could need, Sweet Home Carolina had it all. We were able to pack light because everything we needed was provided! The layout of the home was also perfect for families, with lots of gathering space and an adorable bunk room for the kids. Above all though, the owners (Chris & Colleen) were wonderful to work with - so incredibly responsive and helpful! I would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a family, or just larger group, getaway.

Wonderful & easy

Chris and Colleen were so attentive. They emailed us several times with helpful information regarding planning, etc. prior to our trip. They texted us a couple of times to make sure we got in ok once we were on property, to tell us about a local event in case we had not seen it advertised, and were very responsive when we had a small issue with the garbage. Even though we have never met them, they were fantastic hosts. They made sure everything was in proper order and that we were pleased. It is comforting having such great access to owners during a vacation like this....it eliminates stress that can arise. The home was not only beautiful, well appointed, bright, cozy and clean....but it was also well stocked with everything we needed and more. I would definitely like to return and I would highly recommend it!
