We are already talking about our return to this house. We LOVED it. As a family of five, this was perfect. Our 3 children, 16, 12, &10, stayed in the upstairs area, while my husband and I stayed in the lower area. As people mentioned, the staircase between the two was outside, but it worked out great. Both areas have a kitchen so it would have been easy to stay independently of the other area but we chose to go back and forth. The view is magical and the house is located on a great part of the lake. We rented a boat and he was easily able to pick us up on the dock. I would be remiss not to mention the fantastic dock too! There is a Lilly pad, chairs, and it’s easy to get to from the house. Also, the grounds were perfect for our dogs to run around. Everything is gated so we never worried about them getting out. We spent an entire day sitting around the patio and dock. It was truly magical. In our entire stay, there was a single issue (that had nothing to do with owners), but they sent someone out anyway and it was fixed within an hour. I was confirming with them that the dock was accessible and they sent someone to confirm it was close enough to the shore. I appreciate this because they didn’t have to do it but they did anyway. I have no doubt here that if you need anything while you are staying at the “Shack” the owners are quick to help. We are looking forward to being back!
