Girls Trip

Great spot for a girls trip!! Spacious and great layout. The half bath didn’t have a towel or soap in it and the kitchen could use a few more appointments. There wasn’t coffee provided at the unit except for some decaf grounds that wasn’t enough for a cup. Guess I’ve gotten use to coffee being provided at rental stays. The bedrooms all have king beds and are nice and comfy. They do provide shampoo and soap. The sliding patio door in the upstairs bedroom does not lock. Overall we loved our time here and would stay again! I am local in Austin the others were from the Dallas area. We loved being able to walk for coffee and over to South Congress for the day!

Overall fine

Great location. Easy access to all of South Austin. Great to have covered parking with 120v outlet for the car. Kitchen well equipped. Downsides were some disrepair inside, very poor WiFi, bizarre TV behavior with someone else controlling smart TV making watching anything difficult. With a little attention, could be great rental.

Visiting Austin for family wedding

House was clean and in great location to walk to many restaurants. Layout was good with main BR on first floor. Baths had lots of counter space and main BR had huge walk in closet. Kitchen had everything we needed and layout was perfect. Only issue was that there weren’t real window coverings-when in the main BR you felt like you were in a fishbowl-there was no privacy from outside. Same for windows in the TV room. Upstairs the lack of window shades made the room really bright at night with the street lights and security lights. Had to wear a sleep mask.

Great location but didnt meet standards

Location is the best and house has so much potential but we wouldn't stay there again. The outside area could be an additional highlighted feature of the house but it couldnt be enjoyed bc it is overgrown with weeds and the little outfoor furniture out there was old and could give you splinters. We kept mentioning how we wanted to enjoy being outside but couldnt bc the space wasnt set up for us to enjoy. As far as the indoor accommodations, be prepared to provide everything yourself. Whatever was left there by previous guests is likely what you will see when you arrive for your stay. There are no basic kitchen spices. Our coffee pot was broken and there was no can opener. Fortunately, we let management company know and they brought a new pot and can opener the next day. There were cockroaches, both dead and alive, in upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. There was hair hanging from downstairs bathroom showerhead. We found a used razor and bar soap in upstairs bathroom. Our kids socks were completely black after walking around the house. Needless to say, we felt like the house was not cleaned previous to us coming. Would not recommend.

SoCo House

This rental was central to everything on South Congress. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Lots to see on 1st, also. Food trucks and new dinning places are easily walkable.

Awesome Spot

This is a great property and had everything we needed. The value of this listing for the location is hard to beat. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area and explore the city. Within the vicinity of several places to check out.

Allergic to Cats? Don't Stay Here

Despite being advertised as a no pet unit, I knew within 10 minutes of entering that cats had been in the unit recently. The unit was clean, but as anyone allergic to cats knows, dander is in the air and can't be swept or vacuumed away, which the rental agency did offer to do. Though the rental agency implied that a cat must have been smuggled in by a previous VRBO customer, the spray to remove pet urine I found under the sink implies that whoever owns the place brings their pets to the unit. To stay there, I had to purchase over $80 worth of allergy medicine, I had to eat out more than I intended to give my sinuses a break, and I couldn't sit on any of the upholstered furniture without exacerbating my allergic reaction. The managing company has offered to reimburse me for $20, of my pharmacy costs, which is only a quarter of the cost I incurred and feels like a slap in the face more than a payment of good will. This experience has made me very wary of using VRBO in the future.

Great Central Location

The floor plan was perfect for a family, with huge bathrooms and balconies off of each bedroom. There was a great Mexican food restaurant catty-corner from the property. Our only recommendation would be to add TVs to the primary bedroom as there is only one small ROKU TV in the gathering room and include cable. It also has one covered parking spot off of an alley.

JUST OFF SOUTH CONGRESS

We had four adults and two grandchildren. House was great. Location was even better, we could walk to everything. Great location for foodies !!! We really enjoyed our stay.

Amazing Experience!

I stayed in the house with 4 of my friends, and we had the best time! The house was so quaint and was the perfect amount of space. Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Also, the location was great! So close to South Congress, which is where we spent most of our time. Can't wait to come back!

Great location in S. Congress

The rental property is nice and conveniently located. It's walking distance from S. Congress district and easy to get to Barton Springs/Zilker Park, Downtown, and highways. Overall we had a great stay.

Fun ATX weekend

My family & I enjoyed our weekend stay. Location was a convenient and a short walk to all of the shopping and restaurants on South Congress, plus tons of fun food trucks in walking distance! Turnkey team was quick and responsive via text leading up to my trip answering my questions. Everything was as pictured upon arrival and very seamless to get into the property when we arrived late at night. Only wish is that the property was equip with hair dryers (lost valuable carry on packing space having to bring one with me), as well as some coffee pods for the keurig. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Grad Trip

We rented this home for my daughter's college graduation trip and had a wonderful time. The location is ideal for So Congress and 6th St. My daughters loved the shopping and restaurants nearby and there's an outstanding Vegan cafe next door across the alley. The layout of the home is lovely and we were very comfortable. The Master bedroom mattress is VERY soft - some may like that and others not so much. All said, I recommend this property 100%.

Beautiful but noisy

The property was gorgeous however there is a dumpster nearby and around 2:30 am every night there’s a lot of noise for trash pick up. Other than that, it was amazing!
