My five-day stay at Golden Coast Hotel & Bungalows was underwhelming overall. While the beachfront location is beautiful, the resort fell short of expectations in comfort, food, and hospitality. This property caters primarily to an older, retirement-age crowd—so if you’re in your 20s–40s looking for a lively or modern resort, this isn’t the place. The food was disappointing and repetitive, the rooms outdated, and the bungalows had noticeable maintenance issues. There was little to no entertainment, and even the “all-inclusive” perks felt limited—everything, including beach towels, came with an extra fee. Transportation was another major frustration. Like many places in Greece, it seems there’s a markup system between hotels and drivers—expect to pay €50–€60 for a short 15-minute ride that should cost half that. It feels like a common scheme, so budget accordingly or consider renting a car. As an African-American traveler, I also want to note that my companion and I often felt uncomfortable. We experienced frequent staring, lack of greetings, and an overall unwelcoming vibe at times. We still made the most of our stay, but it’s important for other travelers to be aware of this dynamic. The highlights? The seaside view and the friendly cats that roam the property. Beyond that, this resort missed the mark for a genuine Greek experience. In short: Beautiful beach, but overpriced transfers, dated facilities, and poor inclusivity. Best suited for retirees

The resort is very nice with plenty of places for people to sit and relax or play games. The two restaurants cater for breakfast (Olympia) and lunch and dinner and the bar has snacks and drinks. All inclusive is reasonable and the food is very good but with limited vegetarian options. The rooms were not always cleaned properly during the week. The sink situation within the walkin shower area was inconvenient and messy but the shower was powerful.

We had an absolute great time. I don’t even know where to begin… We came here with a wide open mind, 2 women who don’t speak anything other than English, and we had absolutely no issues. All staff are welcoming, kind, very helpful, and do their most to make you feel at home. We went to a few entertainment nights, some of the events are put on by the French club, those were in French. Other events organized were in French, Greek, or English. Everything was fun and inclusive to all guests. We had no idea what to expect for our room, but we were happily surprised at how clean and tidy it was. Staff were by daily for cleaning, we always arrived back at our room to a clean and tidy space. We had an air conditioning unit that took some figuring out, but we managed just fine and slept well without overheating. The bathroom was spacious and we had no issues what so ever. The food was great. Once we got used to Greek meal times (Canadians eat early I guess!), we were ready to enjoy our day and saunter to meals and enjoy our time. We never felt rushed and we always left feeling satisfied and well fed. Everything was tasty and there was plenty of variety, even some themed nights! We were unsure if an all inclusive resort was the way to go about Greece, but we found we had the perfect way to split up our itinerary. We had travel days: flew to Mykonos, taxi’d to Athens, ferried over to Andros, and we enjoyed pool/beach days in between! I really can’t say enough good things! Thank you!

Brilliant stay! We would go back

Our stay in one of the Bungalows This Aug 2025 was brilliant. We were close to all the facilities and had a separate bedroom from the kids, plus a well equipped kitchen. The AI food was very good with a great selection for us and our kids. Having the beach right on our doorstep with so many water sports was also great. The staff were all kind and so helpful - especially as I arrived on crutches. They transported us and the luggage to our bungalow on arrival - thanks to the guy in reception - and the head of the restaurant- was very welcoming, helpful and kind. Yes the entertainment was in French but we were prepared for that and joined in when we could ie. with the pool activities. Our kids didn’t do the clubs but they had their own separate pools too - although it was probably French speaking. We had a brilliant time and we’d go back. Thanks to all who made us so welcome and to the hotel facilities for providing everything we needed for a very special holiday.

We were very impressed with this resort, it was clean, very well run, and staff were helpful. Things like the air con was not freezing, very comfortable, where there was music around the pool, it was a perfect volume (not too loud) and very good easy listening. We were very impressed with the size of the family room, which actually had a separate room for the children. We liked the variety of food during our 5 night stay.

Hotel is fantastic for kids, feels so safe. Great pools, not too good that people reserve sunbeds for hours before using them. Food fantastic for a buffet. Drinks ok, strong. Worst part is rooms are basic with no kettle. Unfortunately our rooms shower was broken and barely stayed on the wall and window wouldn’t close. Free beach sunbeds and plentiful. Not a lot to do in the evening and entertainment French dominated. All in all, excellent value for money
