The property was beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. We were the only people on the beach. The house was not what we expected. The kitchen was being remodeled, something that was not shared with us prior to our stay. We had planned to cook meals during our stay, however, after arriving and discovering there was no hot water at the kitchen sink and there were only minimal cooking items, we opted to eat out. The cleanliness of the place did not meet our expectations. There were stains on both comforters in both bedrooms. The beds were comfortable, but the bedding and pillow were thin and should be upgraded. The furniture was not comfortable and was on the verge of falling apart. The living area was cold. In reading reviews, it appears that there is radiant floor heating, but there was no way to turn it up or down as the dimmer switch had been removed (at least that is what appeared to be the case). The faucets in the bathrooms were loose and in desperate need of attention to operate properly. There was dirt and debris behind the doors and in the corners. The BBQ was rusty and dirty. The house has potential to be a perfect getaway. With upgrades in the furniture, bedding, and kitchen essentials, it could be a great place. Communication regarding the kitchen remodel should be included when booking the property. I, 6 days later, am still waiting for some to "reach out shortly" to address my concerns with the cleanliness of the property. A disappointing stay all in all.
