I can't say enough about Monet Garden Hotel. From the easy and helpful reception, to the extremely helpful and friendly staff, this is a place we recommend and will return. Easy walking distance to everything and very clean, well appointed rooms; they've thought of everything

Exploring Amsterdam

Good location but expensive to get a taxi there from the train station- quite the rip off. Excellent welcome and room. Easy to explore. Had our best meal nearby at the Lebanese restaurant - the hotel provided a really helpful list of options.

Beautiful property, located about a 15 minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal Station. The walk wasn’t bad but with luggage across cobblestones it did get a little bit tedious. Canal views are overrated. Rooms were nice and comfortable. We received a welcome cocktail upon arriving at the front desk. Staff was very helpful in recommending things to do in the area. The gym was tiny with little equipment beyond treadmills. There is a full bar in the lobby however there isn’t always a bartender on duty, which defeats the purpose if you want something more than beer or wine. My husband and I had hilarious nightcap conversation while he taught the front desk clerk how to make a proper cosmopolitan. The friendliness of the staff made up for those small inconveniences. The breakfast served was good. There’s a good sized buffet and you can get omelettes made to order.

Such a lovely welcome from staff at this hotel, they were so super friendly and helpful. Our room was smart, clean and had a lovely canal side view and, moreover, the bed was large and very comfortable with lovely bedding and pillows. The breakfast buffet had an excellent selection with decent coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice too so well worth the price. The centre of Amsterdam was only a 15 minute walk from the hotel and we had a thorough enjoyable long weekend here, so much to see and do.

Best hotel have stayed in for a long time. Great location, close to old town but quiet. Staff were exceptional from start to finish. Bringing us appreciation gifts, making us tea and coffe when we arrived. Always checking to see if we needed anything. Gave us map and explained where everything was. Highly recommend!

It is a little away from the RIJKSMuseaum and Vangogh museum but was close to the maritime Museum and the Nemo science center. The staff were excellent and went over and above.

The property is clean and well managed. They do a nice job with the breakfast. The location is very convenient but the street it’s located on is quite busy. The canal it sits on is not very nice either. Overall I enjoyed the hotel and do recommend it.

Fantastic hotel

Monet garden was fantastic from arrival to departure. On arrival the staff were very welcoming and offered my friend an I a drink and we were able to check in early as our room was ready! The lady that checked us in gave us loads of tips of the best places to visit and showed us where all the different places were on the map which helped us navigate and plan our weekend! Our room was lovely very clean and nice decor and my friend loved the coffee machine. The view from our room was of the hotel next door which wasn’t great but we didn’t spend much time in the hotel during the day so it wasn’t a big issue. We had prepaid for breakfast and it was well worth it there was so much choice and it all tasted delicious and fresh! I loved the fresh orange juice. Everywhere in the hotel was very clean and the staff were always on hand if you ever needed anything. My friend and I both forgot our plug adapters and the reception staff kindly loaned us a couple till the end of our stay. I would highly recommend Monet garden hotel it’s a great base for accessing all the sites in Amsterdam the only public transport we used all weekend was the train to and from the airport.
