The hotel is convenient, clean and overall fine. I usually like rooms with big windows and this was perfect, but I realised since my room faced the street, it could be quite noisy till later in the night. Apart from that, the location is very good, walking distance from the Museum Quarter, and the Leidseplein tram and bus stops. There is a supermarket next door and it helps. The reception staff at Hotel Iron House was very helpful and courteous.

We had a great stay at Hotel Iron Horse! We loved the location - being near the park with kids was great and it was very walkable to other parts of Amsterdam.

This hotel was fine. The staff varied from abrasive to helpful and pleasant, depending on the day/time. It is conveniently located for walking around town. There is a supermarket next door and restaurants nearby. Our room was on the fourth floor because we needed a room for 4 people. This room is a converted attic and includes an emergency exit inside the room. The lights for the exit sign made it difficult for us to sleep.Additionally, the noise from street level kept me up until I put my ear plugs in. The bathroom shower wall was loose and came off the track a few times. It was fine, just a little weird. The location is great!

This property was nice and near town and restaurants. There is not a lift so you will have to carry luggage up narrow stairs. The property was clean and had comfortable beds. We traveled with our adult daughter and finding a hotel room for 3 in Amsterdam was tricky Hotel Iron Horse was accommodating.

The room 120 was basic but clean. Other than the sky light the room lacked windows which made it feel claustrophobic. The shower temperature control was unreliable and the water unbearably hot. The lady at reception did adjust it for us the following day. The shower and sink did not drain properly.

The property provides good value for money. It is close to major attractions. I was looking for a comfortable clean place to sleep and shower that was within my budget. If these are not your priorities and you are looking for any amount of luxury, better to pay the extra €100 per night at a more upscale hotel. Would stay here again.

Great locations

The room is spacious for a family of four. We all have individual bed. The only thing I would recommended is to clean the ceiling fan that was all cover with dust. We found the location is very close to restaurants and train. Supermarket just next door super easy.

Convenient from/to airport with stop near the hotel. First room did not have windows but glass panels going into the passage courtyard, so could not even open the curtains. I asked for a room with window and was satisfied with a new room which window could be tilted. Thank you. Bath sink was blocked. Coffee tray was dusty, found lipstick on the floor not ours! Black carpet, dim lights. Overall big room, very hot shower ( could not make it any colder!) but cannot complain too much! Essential toiletries and hair dryer. Coffee maker in the room and tea /hot water to bring from reception. Excellent location near supermarket that takes cash and opens until late; Umami restaurant next door tried last night very good; near museums and shopping streets. Close to everything really…We walked an average of 15Km a day!
