When we arrived, the unit we had reserved had not been cleaned. We called the offsite (no onsite personnel) number. The person tried putting us in the unit next door. It also hadn't been cleaned. He then tried a third unit which had been cleaned. We chose to stay there. We were comped a dinner at the onsite steakhouse for the hassle. Everyone I talked to was friendly and helpful, but having no onsite personnel is an issue. It is a very remote area so getting help is probably an issue.

What a gem! Don't hesitate/wait to book this property! Rooms are spotless over sized suites with separate sitting area, dining table and kitchenette. Comfortable beds, free coffee in room, covered front and back porches which view the mountains. There is a restaurant on site (recommend the bacon blue cheese burger and fries) and pizza from Rock City Mercantile down the street (unbelievable beer selection). The restaurant menu prices are higher, but you're in the middle of a remote section of Idaho! Property is 10-15 minutes away from two incredible outdoor recreation areas-City of Rocks National Reserve and Castle Rocks State Park. We hiked for miles while others rock climbed and explored in ATVs. Alamo Inn is top notch. Loved our stay.

Staff was very helpful. Property was well cared for. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It was across the street from a National Park which we didn’t expect. I would recommend this property.
