Boscobel

Prepare to be both shaken and stirred by Boscobel, the little town with incredible beaches and a James Bond connection that can be strongly felt everywhere down to the airport.

Boscobel is a small coastal town located around 20 minutes' drive to the east of Ocho Rios. It offers access to all the same outdoor wonders but with less busy streets. Sounds pretty perfect, right? And it is. The handful of fabulous resorts here make quiet bases for exploring Jamaica's mind-blowing beauty.

And for those who like their movies, there's a pretty exciting piece of trivia about this place: it's right next to the beach where Ursula Andress emerged from the sea in that white bikini in the 1962 James Bond movie Dr. No. Now renamed James Bond Beach, this pretty cove is taking no chances that anyone will miss the connection. Head on over to enjoy reggae beats and a coastline every bit as stunning as it was almost 60 years ago, when it first graced the silver screen.

Of course, it's not just the Bond movies that have a special place in Jamaica's heart. Many of the novels were written here too, and the airport close to Boscobel acknowledges this with a nod to their author in its name: Ian Fleming International Airport.

If passing through the airport or hanging out at the beach isn't enough to quench your thirst for all things Bond, you can always book a room in Goldeneye, the nearby resort centered on the former home of Fleming himself.

But there's more to Boscobel than Bond. Lush jungle surrounds the town, offering opportunities for hiking, biking, river rafting, canoeing, and hanging out at stunning waterfalls including the famous Dunn's River Falls.
