Pros:
- Property and parking easy to access, clear instructions given a few days before arrival.
- Close to main high street and town center, a very good bakery around the corner, several walking trails nearby.
- The property itself, although on the older side, was clean and neat.
Cons:
- Photos used for the listing were probably taken when the property was much newer. In reality, the place was not as polished as the images they put on Expedia.
- The listing for the studio apartment specified there would be a microwave (there was not), and free wifi (there was not).
- We asked our text contact about the wifi, they said they will ask the office but no once came back to us.
- We were provided only three towels (thin and rough) for three people, for 4d/3n. Asked contact about extra towels, and were very curtly told ‘Everyone has one towel, it’s like that everywhere, we change towels after a week.’ We would have been happy to pay extra, but this was not an option it seems. For a place where outdoor activity is the main attraction, one old towel for 4 days and no option to even pay for extra is silly.
- Main bed was a worn sofa bed, mattress sagging at the sides. A comfortable night’s sleep is the most basic thing any place should provide.
All in all - it’s an ok property if expectations are managed. The beautiful images on Expedia, and its ‘Excellent’ rating set expectations that the property did not meet. This is a very basic property, I would not say excellent at all.
