Cozy Cabin-real log cabin stay. Loft bed, woodsy decor, clean & cozy!

Cozy authentic log cabin, with front porch for relaxing and visiting. Located on highway 18 on the edge of town, but not in the woods. There is a loft bed accessed by stairs above the kitchenette, with a queen size bed. Since it is a loft, the ceiling is low and space is limited, but comfy. The stairs to the loft are somewhat steep, but manageable with a little care. Couch pulls out for additional bed, love seat and tv on the main floor with YouTube Tv & Roku box for movie watching. There is also WiFi for your enjoyment. Full sized refrigerator, table & chairs, microwave, basic dishes, and Kerig coffee maker with assorted coffees. There is not a stove. We have an electric frying pan and toaster oven available. Bathroom with shower, towels and basic toiletries. Small patio on the back with high table and chairs, with a privacy fence. Bonfire area with two Adirondack chairs. This is a NO animals allowed property and No smoking/vaping allowed inside any buildings. Contractor reservations need prior approval with host.

Beautiful cabin inside, but you walk outside and you have city life. They should say in their description "if you like the cabin feel but city life, this is for you!" Traffic is very loud, your right on hwy 18 In west Union IA. Casey's is 2 blocks away and a church across the street. This wasn't for us as we only stayed one out of our 2 day stay. .. Not satisfied!

Weekend in West Union

This cabin property worked very well for our visit in town West Union for a wedding at the Rustic Chic Event Center and reception at the West Union Event Center. It was also close to some state parks and campgrounds for hiking and kayaking. We struggled to find a state or county park open for swimming. The only reason we did a four star on a couple items is because we thought it would be a little more secluded or in the country, but it's really inside town towards the edge; however, the owners did a great job with the patio making it feel as secluded as possible.
