Overall we had a good experience and the property was as advertised. Mike and Jenn were very accommodating and responsive. The home was quaint and very well decorated and, for the most part, well kept. We did, however, have a few issues that were a little unsettling. For example, most unfortunately, we were greeted by a cockroach in the back bedroom upon our arrival. We did catch it, and didn't run into any other critters for the rest of the week! The dryer didn't work, hot water was hit and miss, and the living room couch was dirty (not inviting as a potential guest bed). Further, bathroom mats were noticeably unclean, outside chairs were also very dirty to the point that you had to wipe them down before you sat down (bird dung and dusty). There are a few trip hazzards in the house. The entrance into the back bedroom has some unusual steps to consider, and then again as you head to the bed you have to navigate another set of steps. This makes it rather awkward for elderly folks to get up in the middle of the night (grandpa actually did a nose dive getting up for a night bathroom break!) Lastly, we struggled with the TV. Maybe because we didn't have a millennial with us, but none of us could figure out how to navigate the "smart TV" to watch NCAA games. We got it on our iPad:-)
