DC pride weekend

I only stood two days and was hardly in the hotel but it was a fantastic stay. Even when they gave me the wrong room (I asked for two double beds) they quickly changed the room and was in a new room in no time. Lovely place, all fairly new.

Cons: More information about hotel s ervices and general information about activities and current events in the community
Aside from having to ask the concierge about dining in the hotel and remarking on the dearth of information about local activities, I have no complaints.

Service with a Smile!!

Our two night stay at the Marriott Marquis was so wonderful!! We were greeted with kind smiles and helpful employees at every turn, from the valet workers, such as Ashley, who checked our car in when we arrived, to Tessema, working the valet desk when we had to get something from our car. The front desk personnel were lovely and so happy! Elizabeth and the two other ladies working the concierge desk were the most delightful and helpful people, answering all of our questions and giving wonderful recommendations for bus tours and activities to do! Laura took excellent care of our room and it was so wonderful to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. Everyone seemed to love their jobs and it showed! I think the only thing that could've made the trip even better is to have a less expensive valet parking for guests of the hotel. A front desk employee did explain it was because it's 24-hour valet service that isn't offered at other garages which made a little more sense but I was in Hawaii last summer at a beach front hotel with the same service and it was around $30-$35 per day. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends, family and others and would definitely stay here again!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

better then expected

Pros: Great place, friendly beautiful lobby
Cons: If guest of hotel parking was a little expensive
Location: Was in walking distance to the Mall and all of the attractions as well as the Verizon center were we went to se a hockey game.
Was a last minute get to DC before the storm. Was close to Verizon center so I booked. Got there and was amazed at the place. Friendly staff from the front door, all through our stay and departure. Will stay again and would recommend the hotel.

Not accommodating

The hotel offers no after hours availability of bottled water or snacks or beverages, only vending machines that freeze beverages completly solid. Valet parking at $50 a night seems excessive.

Great location!

Not being from the city, I felt paying almost $55 to park the car was excessive. I found 5 min walk away a garage for $12 p 24 hour on weekends & $25 during the week. Hotel food was also very expensive. We found a places so close for less money. Great location for the International Spy Museum, China Town, Tapas Restaurant , Movie Theatre.... My teenage children were happy!! The beds were small @ I felt cramped sharing a bed with one of my teenage children. there was not room for a roll-away bed.

Stay only in Marriott marquis if you are visiting

Very very nice. From the minute I check in to the minute I checked out all the staff in all their facilities were excellent and helpful. Location also excellent.

Location, cleanliness!

Pros: I liked the very chic design and comfort of the expansive lobby area!! All the staff was great, but the concierge Savannah was exceptional!!
Cons: The only thing I can think of would be to offer free wi-fi, other than that everything was great!
Location: Everywhere is easily accessible from Mass Ave and 9th!! Nothing was too far away. There are many options to travel the district and beyond. Easy
We were fortunate enough to get a room on the street side.............it's a beautiful hotel that is more than evident as soon as you walk in the huge lobby. I had my morning coffee in the very comfortable lobby with tv's everywhere to be kept abreast of news while sitting by the huge gas fireplace. Very friendly staff and nice restaurants as well, from a large sports bar (great time) to a very cozy cocktail lounge. Service was awesome!
