Perfect Family Getaway with Stunning Views and Homey Comfort

We had an excellent stay at this Bookabatch house with my wife, our two kids, and my in-laws for 2 nights. The house was perfect for a family getaway—clean, spacious, and very well-equipped. The view from the house was stunning and made our mornings and evenings extra special.There were plenty of toys and books to keep the kids entertained, which made a huge difference for us. Everything we needed was there, and it really felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend for families looking for a comfortable and scenic stay and without a requirement to use high power/ water consuming appliances such as microwave or a dishwasher.

Remarkable eco-house in beautiful area

A really clever, 100% off grid house wirh gorgeous views and terrific design esthetics. It felt great to be have such a low carbon foot print while staying here and at the same it felt luxurious. Lovely native forest and beaches close at hand. Steph and Paul are terrific hosts, helpful and kind.

Beautiful Property and Views

Stunning property located on a hillside with incredible views of the coast and Little Bay below. The property has everything you could possibly need and is very private and secluded. About 45 mins to Coromandel town . I would thoroughly recommend this property

Amazing Kaka Cottage

This is such a beautiful house in a stunning location- it was a real privilege to stay here. All comms were speedy and really helpful - Steph and Paul went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and to make us welcome. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay here.

Ein kleines Paradies

Wir habenit unseren beiden Kindern wunderbare Tage in Coromandel verbracht. Dad Haus von Steph ist wunderbar gelegen und toll eingerichtet! Die Kommunikation mit Steph verlief super, sie reagierte sehr schnell. Das Haus ist wirklich ein kleines Paradies, die Strände in der Umgebung wundervoll!

A beautiful spot

My husband and our 3 year old had a lovely time at Kaka Cottage. Beautiful views, very comfortable beds with quality linen and everything you need for a quality vacation. My daughter was super happy in her bedroom and enjoyed exploring and admiring the artwork throughout the house.The owners stay next door and are handy if you require assistance.Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful space.

What a Location!! What a house!! What a view!!

We loved it here. From the moment we booked the communication was amazing. Every question answered and every (reasonable) request catered for.The house is very green which is a big plus but also has great wifi and a smart TV (great for mirroring content on to for teenagers.)The location is great too and - as the nearest shops are a long drive - a "store cupboard" with almost everything you could need and may have forgotten (tea / coffee / herbs / spices / condiments / seasoning etc.)Also great beach(es) nearby and it was a great spot to catch up with friends and welcome 2025 in to our lives.Thanks a lot - we had a great time x

Comfort and Tranquility

It was my first visit to Waikawau area where there are two adjacent beautiful bays, Waikawau Bay and Little Bay. The holiday home, Kaka Cottage we stayed at was truly a nice place to enjoy comfort and tranquility as it is situated in the top forest and the host couple is very kind and friendly. They are peace loving people. We really enjoyed staying at the house. I recommend to all.

Stunning house in paradise

This is a beautiful part of the Coromandel to stay in and Stephanie's house was so lovely. Very modern and comfortable, really couldn't have wanted for anything more. Perfect base to explore the surrounding area.
