A cozy house that lets you enjoy each other’s company, but yet lets you have your private time with a smart tv in each room. Easily accessible year round, with paved driveway. Quiet country setting with Mountain Views, and a fire pit for viewing the stars, hanging out with friends and family while making smores, or waiting for the fireflies, aka. (lighting bugs), to come out. Room for gathering outdoors for guest activities, or stay cool inside with the new AC. A small creek runs through the property. Enjoy relaxing on one of 3 porches with your coffee and a book or personal media, while being visited by deer and other wildlife. Near Boone, Valle Crucis, Sugar Grove, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock, where you will find lots of quaint shops and a plethora of dining venues. A short distance to shopping, theme parks, skiing, tubing, biking , hiking , state parks, stream fishing, canoeing, swimming, zip lining, climbing courses, horseback riding and gem mining. A lake within 20 minutes with boat rentals available.Also convenient to many restaurants and markets. Convenient to Appalachian State sporting and cultural events. My daughter and I stayed here for a weekend while visiting AppState and thoroughly enjoyed our time at this perfect little cottage. Martha was very accommodating with our last minute booking request and responded promptly to all communication. We arrived late at night but found the property easily. It was so clean and tastefully decorated! While we didn’t spend a lot of time at the house we wouldn’t hesitate to book again and explore more of the area if we are here again in the future.

Wonderful Mountain Cottage

This house is awesome. Very clean and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Perfect location! I can’t say enough good about this sweet little house. Loved it!! We will be coming back next year.

Clean, Comfy, and Quiet

Super nice property that was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of seating, extra blankets, and even nice real plants around the house. Kind of felt like the owner left everything needed in place, cleaned it real nice and moved out for a few days to let us come visit, would definitely stay again!

We loved this house on a hillside...the cleanest home we've every stayed in, with adorable decor, all the ameneties, and a gracious host. Waking to fresh air and roosters crowing was a delight. We hope to be back!

Cozy house

This house is just darling. Feels like home away from home. We spent mornings and evenings on the front porch just enjoying the quiet and beauty. Great location to jump into Boone or go hiking. My sister, niece and I loved it!

Adorable home in a perfect location!

Martha was a wonderful host! The communication with her before and during our trip was fantastic. She responds to any request very quickly and is so accommodating. The house is SO cute! 3 very nice comfortable bedrooms all with their own smart tv's, a cozy living room also with a smart tv, the kitchen has everything you could need including a coffee pot and kcup maker which I made good use of and drank coffee on the porch while reading a book and enjoying the Mountain View in the morning. It was very quiet in the area and near everything we wanted to do in Boone and Blowing Rock. I couldn't not recommend this property and it's lovely host enough!

App State Orientation Get Away

Our Farmhouse stay was amazing! Property was super clean, exactly as described, quiet and well decorated. It was perfect for our family with teens. Owner was super easy and pleasant to communicate with. Check in and out was a breeze. Looking forward to returning in the Fall.

Grandson's 4th Birthday Celebration Weekend

We rented the bungalow for my grandson's 4th birthday celebration that was held at the pool in Boone. Martha's place was clean, cozy and hospitable. I especially enjoyed all the cooking in the beautiful kitchen. It was supplied with everything even paper towels and dishwashing detergent. I had brought my own just in case. The mooing cows added the mountain country touch. I also loved the outdoor lights in the back yard. Overall, it was perfect for my family to stay through the weekend.

Warm and Cozy in High Country

Rosa’s Roost was clean, quaint, well equipped and accommodating for our family. Came to visit our son in Boone for his birthday and his fiancé flew in from Florida. We enjoyed the snow and cold weather from the warm and cozy home. Cooked a delicious meal in the well appointed kitchen. Played games, washed laundry, enjoyed our time together as family. The cows mooing were a treat as well as the roosters crowing. A lot of farm equipment and items around but it didn’t take away from simple beauty. We had everything we needed. I did have to buy a cheese grater for our dinner but that was the only thing I couldn’t find that we needed. Some general spices like garlic & onion powder, Italian seasoning would be a nice touch with the salt and pepper also, but no worries as I did purchase some spices. The electric heaters kept us very warm and all the extra blankets and linens are well provided and great. It smelled like my granny’s home (who recently passed in Sept of 2023) combination of Folgers coffee, what she cleans with and the laundry soaps. It brought a smile to my face and heart and felt as though she was with me this weekend. I didn’t want to leave and could have stayed longer. It was a great place to see our son and his newly engaged fiancé and celebrate his birthday and the beginning of their new life together. Thank you Martha. Your love and thoughtfulness are evident. May you continue to be blessed in your life.

Amazing stay

My wife and I came with another couple and absolutely loved this place! The pictures don’t do it justice. It is so beautiful and made me feel right at home! The host was amazing and easy to get in touch with. We will definitely stay here again!
