Nestled on the quiet country side of Venice, a historic town celebrating over a hundred years of charm, our cozy two-bedroom cabin offers the perfect blend of Old Florida beauty and modern comfort.
Surrounded by horse farms and preserved natural land, the cabin sits alongside the scenic and historic Myakka River, with nearby protected areas including Deer Prairie Creek Preserve, Carlton Reserve, and Sleeping Turtles Preserve. Wildlife sightings are part of everyday life here—deer, turtles, birds, and other native Florida species often make an appearance.
The cabin has been recently remodeled from top to bottom, featuring brand-new flooring throughout, a fully updated kitchen with new appliances, and a reverse osmosis water filtration system under the sink for fresh, great-tasting drinking water.
Step outside and unwind as the sun sets. In the evenings, string lights throughout the property create a warm, romantic glow, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. Gather around the beautiful outdoor fire pit, roast marshmallows, share stories, and enjoy peaceful nights under the stars.

This cabin is perfect! If you love outdoors and being in a central location this is it. Property owner couldn’t be nicer and property is spacious with that old Florida feel that is hard to find. There is 75 nearby so if car noise is a problem you should look elsewhere, not much owners can do about that! I really hate writing this review because I feel like I found a real hidden treasure but the owners are to nice not to!

What a great location! The house was extremely clean and well stocked. The outdoor amenities were outstanding. Playground for the kids, fishing dock, and lighting in the huge trees make it very inviting to stay outside. We caught crappie, catfish, and i even caught an alligator. Fortunately it spit out the hook! The house has large french doors facing the river that allows alot of natural light into the space. The location is close to Cooltoday park where we saw two Atlanta Braves preseason games. We walked our dog everyday at Sleeping Turtles Preserve that is only a mile away. We will definitely stay here again if we come back for more baseball next year.

The cabin was spotless when we arrived. Booking was simple and Casey replied immediately. Check in was simple. Furniture and beds were comfortable, better than we expected for a cabin setting. The kitchen had everything we needed to create simple meals and not have to go out. We came to be outdoors and had several seating options which allowed us maximum sun. Fishing and kayaking on the Myakka kept our Grandson in his teens busy throughout our stay. The fish were jumping non stop. The cabin is conveniently located within minutes to town and recreation. We found our stay to be a good value. The decking surrounding cabin was suspect in a few places but contracted repairs were coming. We booked on short notice knowing this. There were numerous playground fixtures throughout the property which could keep younger kids occupied for hours. We definitely recommend it if you want to get away to nature yet close to Venice.
