The accommodation was okay overall, and the check-in process was straightforward. The Nespresso coffee maker was a great touch and much appreciated in the mornings. The showers were fine, although we were instructed not to flush toilet paper due to the older septic system, which was inconvenient.Our biggest concern was privacy. Although the listing indicated privacy, other rooms in the same house were rented to other short-term tenants. We had to lock our room doors and the hallway door to keep other tenants out of our space. This made us uncomfortable and somewhat paranoid. Had we known the house was shared with other short-term guests, we likely would have chosen different accommodations.Cleanliness also needs improvement. We found spider webs on the ceilings and doorways, dust in several areas, and had to wipe down surfaces before sleeping, especially the bed boards. Some window screens were worn and had openings that could allow bugs inside. Since there was no AC and only a standing fan, we needed to open the window for ventilation, which made us concerned about insects.The laundry facilities were excellent. Since we rented three rooms, we had a private washer and dryer next to the kitchen, which was very convenient.Overall, if you just need a place to sleep for a night and don't mind sharing the house, this may work. However, traveling with family, we prioritize privacy, cleanliness, safety, and security of our belongings and would have selected another location.
