DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF STAYING HERE
DONT BOOK HERE!!!! HEALTH HAZARD!!! Description is misleading!! We were here in December, there is no heat in the cabans except a wood stove. They lite the fire at 6.pm, the wood that they gave us was burned away at 9 pm. I had to go out in the 28 degree weather to get more firewood. That lasted until midnight, had to go out again for more wood and try to restart the fire. Smoke inside we had to open the door. If someone had asthma they would be seriously in trouble. I had to set my alarm for every 3 hours to get more firewood and restart the fire. We were breathing wood smoke all night. Our cloths smell like we were at a bonfire. Sad thing is that the cabins are really nice, maybe in the summertime. Very remote, nothing to do except trying to keep the fire going. Small restaurant across the street. Again no heat, food was good. Dont get taken in by the "tour" that the owner Fernando offered. He charge 4 of us 50 dollars to drive us 3 miles to the teleférico,dropped us off and said would be back in two hours. Bitter cold, teleférico took an hour and was great but they closed the place and we had to wait in the cold for Fernando. He then stopped twice for 5 minutes on the way back to the cabins for us to get out of the car and look at the canyon. He needs to put in gas heaters if he expects people to stay with him!
