This stay was MAGICAL! The house was so cute and aesthetic not to mention a great deal. It was private and had a nice little yard, and cool little trail leading up to a nice little bench and viewpoint. The vibes were immaculate and this house was one of the highlights of our trip.

This accommodation was just as listed. We loved the retro vibe, tastefully decorated and clean, too. The property owners were very friendly, communicative and prompt with responses. They even left a thoughtful gift basket. And the location was quiet, just a short drive into the main area of Joshua Tree. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

What an awesome, quiet, clean place to stay! Great A/C mini splits all over, great shower, awesome surroundings…we cannot wait to return to experience more of the natural environment. The hosts were also beyond responsive and great with suggesting local resources. You cannot go wrong, here!

The house was awesome; really spacious for just two of us. Kitchen was well equipped and the "welcome basket" was a pleasant surprise. The property was clean and tidy. The furnishings were a lovely mixture of modern and heirlooms. As stated in the listing, the house is a work in progress, e.g., there is no access to the garage or master bath (presumably under construction). The bathroom appears to be original and is definitely dated, but as indicated, the house is undergoing renovation. Communication with the host was timely and the check-in process was smooth and easy. Arriving guests should be aware that there is no grocery store in Joshua Tree Village (there is a health food market with enough to get you through a night or two, although a bit on the pricey side). As such, plan to shop in either Yucca Valley or Twentynine Palms - depending on which direction you are coming from.

A quiet peaceful desert sanctuary. Close proximity to Joshua Tree NP and 1 1/2 hour drive to Big Bear Lake. Phenomenal sky views from the bench on the ridge summit. Host was very welcoming with a goodie basket on arrival and providing us with a guidebook for the area. Communication before and during the stay was excellent!

Great place and experience

Jeff and Brittany were great hosts, communicating quickly and accurately throughout the stay. The property is secluded and has a great trail that leads to the hilltop for stargazing. It was a great location to reach the national park.Highly recommend a stay here!

Amazing Time at The Ridge

The Ridge is a thoughtfully curated 5-acre property situated on a bluff equidistant from the two main entrances to Joshua Tree National Park. My son and I spent 8 days here. Communication with the hosts was prompt, clear, and helpful. We arrived at night and the lights were on and the hosts provided detailed information about how to get to the property. The property is private yet not remote. There are houses you can see in the distance, but it feels like your own private desert oasis. The property is down an easy sand road about ¼ of a mile from a main thorough fare. It is a wonderful blend of being away from things but having easy access to the park, grocery, restaurants, bars, etc. The house has as much charm as the photos and description! There are two living areas – one that boasts a wonderful fireplace and two couches and another that has a couch, TV (although we didn’t even turn it on), organ, guitar, mandolin, accordion, and record player with a solid library of some great albums including Abbey Road (and some of George Carlin’s early work). The bedrooms are situated on opposite sides of the house, so if you are traveling with another couple or with kids – this affords everyone some privacy. Windows and natural light abound delivering fantastic views of the surrounding desert landscape from every room. The curated path across the property is an added bonus with astounding views across the landscape. Picnic table, fire pit, grill, and great desert views. Thank you!.
