This historic property is very quirky, it is quite maze like, but beautifully planted and decorated. Cristina at reception was exceptional. She changed our queen bed for a twin as soon as was possible. She also gave excellent recommendations for eating out and entertainment. Our room was up amongst the roof tops and had a little outdoor sitting area, it was just lovely. Very clean, comfy beds. Great shower. Breakfast very nice too. I would love to return.

A truly remarkable hotel, with a quirky side to it. Such an interesting and beautiful property, with courtyards, tunnels, passageways aplenty. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Conveniently situated in the old quarter, with restaurants and cafes in close proximity. My double room was a little small, with just one armchair, but I imagine every room is different. The piano bar is a little gem.

Extraordinary Hotel within Magical Setting
We stayed 7-11 March, before the temperatures in Seville start to climb. The hotel is in Santa Cruz, the old Jewish Quarter, as its name implies. The hotel is a mixture of nearly 30 houses, with courtyards, water features, narrow alleyways, arched doorways, and balconies. It's like another world, and maintains great charm and character to be found (more publicly) in the Santa Cruz area. It is, however, a private oasis. Staff were generally warm and accommodating. We took our meals away from the hotel and cannot comment on the hotel's catering arrangements. It has a small spa (with indoor pool) and a rooftop swimming pool (unfortunately closed for winter whilst there). Ideally situated, with pavement tapas bars in the same street, all the key tourist spots such as the cathedral are easily within walking distance (and we're in our 60's). We did 'our own thing' and deliberately avoided the places everyone else goes to Seville for, preferring to simply drift and take in the ambience rather than pay to stand in queues. Triana is one of the best areas for getting away from everyone, and the university buildings, Plaza de Espana and gardens are beautiful. My only complaint is the Hotels.Com site clearly said that we qualified for free airport transfers. Both the hotel and Hotels.Com then denied it was their responsibility. I therefore had to book and pay separately for taxi transfers - unless I could provide a screen-shot from the booking form! Really!

There were many positives about this hotel but a few things were a bit of a downer. It is very busy in the reception so I felt like the staff didn't have the time to give attention. However everything was as it should be. The rooms in the main building were functional and pleasant. No coffee in the room and no complimentary water. Also very oddly the door handle in my bathroom broke and there was no maintenance man after 11pm. But let me say the night receptionist did a great job of opening the door! Also this is not a quiet location so expect noise from the street from early morning and late evening. But also the location is central and everywhere is walkable or reasonable taxi prices. The hotel is very quaint and historic and is so nice with lovely garden areas. You might struggle on the cobbles all through the tunnels. Overall I would recommend this hotel. The roof top bar is fantastic although the pool doesn't open until May. We didn't use the piano bar and we didn't have breakfast as there are so many fabulous places to have brunch. Fantastic city and this is a good base to see all the sights.

Great hotel with a very different layout. You pass tunnels and patios to get to your room. You seem to live in another time.
