Favorite stay in Toronto

Hotel was beautiful, room was very large and quiet, staff was friendly, location was outstanding. If you stay I recommend PAT Asian market for the fresh taiyaki ( cash only $3.50 each ) and for a truly outstanding dinner Planta was definitely worth the walk.

The check in process went smoothly and the room size was great for 2 people. The room was clean however we wished there was a bit more hanging storage available. Most of the staff we interacted with were very pleasant. Did not have the opportunity to dine at the restaurant in the hotel but the menu looked great!

We had a wonderful stay! Our room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was especially cozy — we both slept so well. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. We also felt safe walking to meet our friends who lived about six blocks away. Their warm hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved the location and the feel of the hotel. I would have liked the restaurant to be a little bit more updated and the service was very slow. I loved all other areas of the hotel and the reception staff was welcoming which was lovely.

Great Stay in Toronto

We stayed in a suite, and it was very comfortable. We like being near the university. Overall, it was a fine place to stay, but having stayed at other Kimpton properties, it didn’t seem to meet the corporate standard that we’ve experienced. It seemed like the focus was on corporate travel rather than high-end tourism, as as I’ve been experience with other Kimpton properties

Staff was polite and friendly. Hotel issues: first room was very smelly/musty and not a great room - staff switched to a much better room (bigger, brighter and no smell). No coffee or tea in the room - free in the hotel lobby in mornings only - but that is cheap ... the Kimpton in Edinburgh has coffee/tea and free snacks,,, Free Kimpton happy hour is basically in the hotel lobby on some couches in a small alcove - over crowded / feel on display and so didn't go. NO TV service at all over the 3 days?? I was able to cast from my phone. Did not believe that it was "an issue" with Rogers as WIFI not an issue .... I think that hotel mgmt is trying to see if they can cancel .... Why is it so much cheaper to book on a service like Expedia than via the Hotel? Then one does get the IHG points.... overall will not say I won't stay again as location is too good (right by Saint George metro and Yorkville). Had I not been able to switch rooms though - I would have never stayed here again ... so do ask if you get something you don't like. being an IHG member will probably help.

Great location, comfortable beds, commendable service. While I generally found the decor pleasing, the bathroom tile was stylish, but had deep grooves that looked like they retained mold/mildew. Shower & nearby floor could use a deep clean.
