Beautiful surroundings and convenient location

Amazing grounds and lots of outdoor tables and space for kids. Food was great. But would suggest an earlier breakfast time , 0815 is not the most helpful if you have to get going. Also could do with enforcing more respect for others at night , as we kept hearing people throughout the night walking around which kept us up. Otherwise a lovely hotel , in a convenient location with beautiful surroundings.

Very comfortable stay

Our third stay in this hotel. Staff lovely and helpful and food excellent although really don’t like buffet style breakfast. Bedroom would benefit from an update- carpet I’ll fitting, no full length mirror. Bed comfortable. Bathroom lovely and shower worked well. Choice to decide if you want your room serviced or not.

Our room was over the bin store and delivery yard so it was really noisy in the morning. The room was very tired the bathroom ok but hate shower curtains. The bathroom smelt musty . The whole property needed some tlc

Great break

Despite the wet weather, we still enjoyed our stay - 3rd time here. Food is excellent, reception staff are very friendly and the grounds are magnificent. Only a short walk from Keswick centre. Fitz park very well kept. Lovely stay

Great stay.

At check in greeted very politely with a smile. As the lift was out of action, I requested another room at a lower level. Unfortunstely this wasn't suitable. Our room was on the third floor. Clean, big and airy with great views of the fells. Climing the stairs after a big meal was not so nice. All the meals were great so were the Staff. Hotel very convinient for exploring the town and the countryside. Had some rain, but still enjoyed our break.

Lovely, needs minor tweaks

Really great stay! Outstanding service, especially from staff at the bar and check in desk. Loved seeing the bunnies on the lawn outside. Beautiful old property but needs a bit of a facelift in places. Room was comfortable but unfortunately the mattress sloped down on one side so I woke up several times fighting for my life to keep from rolling off the bed. Lovely stay overall though, good breakfast, would happily stay again.
