The Ghost Town Guest House
The Ghost Town Guest House is a two story home located in the historic mining book town of Sandon, BC. Whether you are looking for a relaxing get away, are a history buff who loves to explore museums and historic sites or a recreationalist looking for biking and hiking adventures the Ghost Town Guest House is the perfect location to base your stay in the Slocan Valley
The main floor has a comfortable dining and living area, a well equipped kitchen and a full bathroom. Upstairs is a master bedroom with a queen bed, a second bedroom with a double and a sitting area with two chair beds if required. The covered porch is excellent for lounging, reading a book or enjoying your morning coffee.
The surrounding area:
The house and yard are surrounded by crown land in all directions and Carpenter Creek flows along the border of the property.
Two historic attractions, the Sandon Museum and the Silversmith Power Plant are both a short walk from the house and are well worth visiting. There are many other historic building and sites within walking distance of the house.
Walking, biking and hiking trails can be found in every direction. Mining and logging roads lead to other trails that access ridge top hikes, mountain biking trails and other historic sites.
The Ghost Town Guest House is located 15 minutes from New Denver where you can get everything you need for your stay. There is a land line phone at the property but there is no cell service or internet available at the house.

What am amazing, historic home in an amazing location! The house is old but fully equipped, located right beside a stream at a historic site, a ghost town high in the BC hills. Don’t expect modern niceties like cell service or multiple bathrooms, but do expect character and charm!

We had a great time at this little house, perfect location for a quiet vacay and lots of well-maintained hiking trails on old railbeds in close proximity to explore. Good stock of kitchenware made cooking a breeze and living areas were comfortable with a wood stove to make things cozy.A few quirks with the steep and uneven stairs to the bedrooms and vintage kitchen sink with the leaking faucet. We would have appreciated some comfy lawn chairs and a patio umbrella in addition to the existing picnic table in order to fully enjoy the nice backyard next to the creek.We loved that it was quiet, there was no tv/cell service, and there was a huge stock of books and games to enjoy. We’d stay again!
