Incredible hotel with lovely staff. The location is perfect, within walking distance to resteraunts, shops and beaches. We impulsively extended our stay at the hotel because we loved it so much.

A beautiful stay in Toarmina

The only reason I didn’t give this hotel 5 stars is that it is quite difficult to walk to and from the hotel. There is no sidewalk and it is on a curve. Once you get to the stairs leading to the main street, it is an easy walk and very conveniently located. Also parking is limited and difficult. Other than that, it is a beautiful place. We had an amazing view of the water from Room 4 so we spent evenings on the balcony. One day there was a wedding at the hotel down the hill and the classic Italian music they played was wonderful to listen to. Breakfast was not huge but certainly enough and the patio where we ate was also beautiful. We enjoyed our 2 nights there.

A most beautiful and welcoming gem of a place

Bel Soggiorno means “nice stay” in Italian, and for Hotel Bel Soggiorno, this is true but also an understatement. This is the most welcoming, pleasant, and beautiful place we have ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we felt comfortable and taken care of. We arrived early but our room was ready within a few minutes and we were taken there by one of the friendly staff members. Our room opened to a terrace with a most lovely view of the sea and the hotel’s gardens below. We spent a lot of time just relaxing right there on the terrace, enjoying the view and taking in the peacefulness. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. What really sets this hotel apart, in additional to its prime location and the friendly staff, is the breakfast. Breakfast is included with the stay and is (without exaggeration) the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. A full spread of Sicilian foods, both sweet and savory, all homemade and all delicious. The breakfast area looks out to the sea, making the whole experience so memorable. Breakfast itself was an event to look forward to! The man at the reception showed us a shortcut for getting into the center of town on foot (a beautiful walk that takes you right past the public garden!). The hotel is in a great location as it is quiet and looks out to the sea, but is also within walking distance to all the gems in the center of Taormina. We felt so comfortable and welcomed. We were sad to go and hope to return!

This is an older hotel and you need to walk uphill all the time. Breakfast is great but no other real meals. The water only ran hot in our room.

The view from the balcony was superb. The room/ bath room were small The parking was difficult and expensive The staff were very good. Breakfast in keeping with a 3 star hotel A bit of a trail into Taomina along a main road then up steep steps.Taomina is hilly itself

Omg this property is soooo pretty. We got the room facing the ocean, the view is breathtaking! Walking to the old town is fairly easy as well. Parking is stressful, it’s very narrow and steep but he stuff help you with it. Breakfast is soooo good!

This was a beautiful property with an amazing sea view & terrace. However, the bed was uncomfortable and felt unsecure. Also the air conditioning was working but not sufficient for cooling to our liking. The included breakfast on the terrace was perfect w/ a view and staff were very helpful. I would stay here again!

Fabulous location; hotel with a lot of character, spectacular garden and phenomenal views of the bay. Staff was extremely helpful and took care of parking the car. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and out on the patio with the magnificent view. Short walk to the centre of Taormina. Highly recommend this hotel.

Had four nights at this hotel.The rooms with the sea view are fantastic.Rooms are clean and big.The breakfast is very good, staff helpful.Easy walk to the bus terminal and to Umberto street.Stairs to Isola Bella are not far either.The gardens are beautiful.
