Great location in Darling Harbour

Great hotel overlooking Darling Harbour. Some building work going on at the harbour which in time may affect the views slightly but still great location. Bed was very comfortable & staff very helpful. Good selection of food at breakfast. Would definitely go there again.

Room at Ibis Darling Harbour was tiny but great view of the harbour. No gym or swimming pool but we were allowed to use the gym & pool at the hotel next door. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Staffs are very friendly.

Dated but price reflects this

Hotel is very dated, rooms in desperate need of an overhaul. Bed sheets just draped over duvet which came loose in the night and was covered in stains. Bed was not stable and window blind was very tough to close. The walls were paper thin as could hear every conversation of the adjoining room. TV located directly above the kettle isn’t sensible and there are no plug sockets next to the beds. Breakfast quality was dire and not worth the $30 price tag no matter how convenient it may seem. Everything just felt like it was being run on the cheap (one lift not working, etc) which isn’t a good look for customers. Location is convenient but I would probably stay elsewhere next time for a bit extra.

Not overly impressed

Location was good for Darling Harbour. There were no power points by the bed side tables, which were required for my CPAP machine. When I asked at Reception if any of the other rooms did have power points by the bed, I was informed "That is something I am unable to assist you with". There was no housekeeping throughout our three night stay, bathroom was very tiny and the blinds in the main room were filthy and torn. There was no rubbish bin in the main living area and nowhere comfortable to sit apart from the bed. I don't think I would ever stay here again.

Paper-thin walls - we could hear the person in the room next to us go to the bathroom. Noise overnight from people going to their rooms. Location is fantastic but disappointing the price doesn’t compare to the room size, quality or noise disturbance. Rooms didn’t even have bedside tables. Very average room again especially compared to the price paid.

Very convenient location.

It’s very good location to go around the city. We were able to check in earlier when the room is available and very appreciated. I didn’t give 5 start because the following: only one chair in the room we booked. For two old folks were hard. The management and front desk were excellent.

A terrible room. A very tired property that looks decent from the outside with a good location to walk Darling Harbour but the rooms are VERY basic with ancient AC that dampens and cools the room. Only body wash for shampoo/conditioner and a hostel like feel in the bathroom. Stay next door at the Novotel for not much more.
